Time to collect some consoles!

It's the year 1984, and you are a video game enthusiast that have decided that you would like to collect home entertainment consoles. Congratulations! Luckily, you own a big desk and you plan to organize all your new consoles on top of it. That shouldn't be a problem, I mean how many consoles will there exist anyway?

Go through the years and collect the newest consoles! Will you make it to 2018?

How to play?

  • Use spacebar to drop your newly bought console to the desk.
  • Stack consoles, make pyramids or carelessly throw them in there. Just be careful not a single one drop to the floor.
  • Each console you successfully place give you 10 points. You also get extra points for the height of your stack.

* Tell us your highscores!!! *

The concept is fitting well with the theme. But you could add some music to it. But overall it's a very nice and difficult game. Well done.

Hey @phungames , thanks for your comment. The game does have music, can you make sure you didn't have the sound turn off or something? It could be a big so could you tell us what version did you try?

Really dig the music! Made the game a lot more enjoyable! Also interesting concept, had a good time playing! The only thing is the area in which it said the console would drop was a little off. It would also be cool if it would perform at an angle, but still cool game

Man, it was going so well until gen 7. The upright Xbox 360 really got me.

got to Score 910. This was fun and simple. I enjoyed that the generation of the console got newer as you went higher and I also found myself risking the console toppling out so it would create a wider base to use. great fun and I may even play again!
I'd love to get your feedback on my game please.

My favorite game I've played so far. I'm extremely impressed that you made a 3D model of every console. The physics are pretty good too. I've only played one so far but I can't wait to see what the secret consoles are. Lets hope that you don't get sued by Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo, and Sega all at once.

Fun little game. I honestly think the music is the best thing here. Something about it is just really cool.

It was pretty fun! I liked how you showed off a lot of the game consoles through out history(even though I never used and of the older ones, lol).

Nice game, liked that although the consoles were simplistic in their design they are very easily recognisable, so props on the graphics. Music was also very good, fitted the game nicely.

This was pretty cool, it was satisfying to stack the consoles.

My high score was 1158 and I got to gen 7. That Wii console was my downfall :sob:

I liked the music, and the zoom out at the end to see my final stack was a nice touch.

Great job!

Hey. Thanks for all the great comments. @ryan-wickman @mistersdevelopment @spudboy . I hope you notice the music turn from 8Bit to 16Bit retro to Full quality when you advance through the generations. :D

Love the music, I'm a sucker for dynamic music in games and the music by itself is really good too. Gameplay is a bit basic but its compiling enough just to see what kind of console I will get and how high I can stack them.

@vekstr Haha. it's extremely difficult, but I know someone that did. Right know she holds the highest score we have seen with 1528 points.

Hah, played _way_ more than I expected. Something about the mostly-flat nature of the consoles makes it really fun, and I had to know how far the music evolved. Fullscreen on the HTML5 version would have been a plus, but not a big deal.

Great stuff guys!

@quicklyer Wow. That score is impressive. Is the highest I've seen so far. I really wish I had time to implement the scoreboard I wanted.

I'm glad you enjoy playing.

Didn't think this was going to be a good game... but man this was enjoyable to play. With the mix of physics it keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Such a simple idea, but the execution was a lot of fun. I really like the theme of game consoles. If you'd just used cubes and colors it wouldn't have been as much fun. The graphics really bumped up the experience.

The physics were well done, and the colliders felt great. I only wish the consoles came in through the same side each time so I could time the deployment better, when it was coming from the left it was harder for me to determine where the console would land on the stack.
