A very nice little game. The one complaint I have gameplay-wise is that it shouldn't be so hard to escape from the monster. In the ink-blotch levels, you get cornered and it's very difficult to escape, causing you to lose like 1/3 of your HP. However, the audio, theme implementation, and general feel were very well done. Graphics could have been more flatly designed, just to be consistent with the rest of the level, but other than that, a very fun game. Keep it up!

Oh yeah first place! Lol I played this 4 times just to get that. Solid game, very fun although when I first played I thought I was supposed to dodge the red shapes, haha.

Fun, but a little rough around the edges! The best strategy seems to be to just immediately go right and up as far as you can, and wait for the exit to come. If you go left, you'll usually just have to pass the monster and lose HP. But sometimes you'll get cornered anyway, and have to wait for the monster to fall down while it drains your HP a little. It seems to be able to jump/teleport very far horizontally sometimes too. But I like the fast and frenetic arcade feeling!

Haha you do people do so well on this game? I got only 17 points LMAO. I surely had fun, the AI following me very closely makes it quite challenging, but him being big and cant jump high make it much more playable. The music sounds pretty uplifting but doesnt seem to fit well with the fight with the monster. Otherwise, well done!

Not clear about the red line being the goal for next level, but once you get it its ok. controls are superweird but its fun and challenging

Great concept! The turning levels are a clever idea, like it a lot! It would be nice if I could do something to the monster to push him around a bit. But other than that, great job!

I thought the game was pretty cool. The controls are super easy and it was fun. A couple of times the monster kind of fell out of the level which made things a bit easier :P

Game is little buggy but overall a very unique and innovative concept. Transitions between levels were very smooth, and the rotation made for a hectic and fun gameplay experience. Collisions were a bit glitchy but it didn't hinder it too much. Great work! :)

Innovative idea! :) As it's already been said, movement is a little rough. I often ended blocked against the monster. Maybe having something like a double jump with a bit of air control could've helped :)
Anyway, cool concept.

@yayapipi I'M SO SORRY! I accidentally mixed up your game page with someone else's and put the wrong review on each page! I'm super sorry for the confusion. Here's your actual review:

This game is so cute and enjoyable. The music is awesome, really added a lot to the experience. Some really clever gameplay ideas going on here, though I had a few issues with the controls not being as responsive as they should be (for example there was sometimes a delay between pressing a button and something happening on screen). Some improved graphics would have really helped make this game shine, as well as bit more game feel, but for a solo effort in a weekend it's a good little game. Nice simple mecahnic that I haven't seen before made into something fun. Well done!

Graphics work and sound effects are functional. The music is really nice. I know the theme was running out of space but I felt more like I just didn't have enough space to begin with =P, especially on the starburst shaped levels. Overall a solid entry though.

Have fun out there!

Well the game is okay, but if the camera didnt always foom in after each tound, I would have had more time to realize, where am I. The idea is good but the controls arent so responsive and kind weird. The music is good, and the graphics for this simple idea are enough.

Good stuff! The music is nice, and I love that you incorporated a leaderboard in such a short time. The scoring mechanic is nice too, with trying to get the monster in the level warp door. I also noticed that you made sure if the player ended up getting outside the play area and falling off the screen you accounted for that, respawning the player inside the play space, so nice work anticipating that bug/issue. It was a fun game to play, nice work!

This game was easy to understand (thanks for the tip about escaping through the red gate). It's an unusual set up. I liked when physics became important to getting around the monster. Unfortunately, it felt frenetic to me. Sometimes it's more button mashing than skill. (I know this because I'm terrible at keyboard games, but I did okay on this one.)
