Typeless by Naihto
A visual novel typing game where you must selectively sacrifice your keyboard letters in your quest to pursue your date.
WebGL has problems that sometimes the Windows version does not (Might be fixed[?]). Read Extra Notes for more details.

First LD Game Jam!
Got a date with the Cthulu Dating App
Who knew it had drawbacks?
Do you know what she wore for work that day?
Use Keyboards keys to type in the choices
Esc key to Reset the game
Enter or Return key to Accept
Backspace key to Decline
'\' or Backslash key to open your offering screen
- ~~This is what you use to get your letters back~~
Tab to toggle your sacrifice list
Delete to skip the timer
Extra Notes: You can only fix it by resetting the game or by downloading the game to avoid it completely!
This problem may come in the form of locked state in which the game's ending is supposed to trigger. I had to waste 6 hours trying to fix the problem on WebGL side of things whereas the WIN version had no problems whatsoever. I did my best to make the WebGL work but unfortunately I had to 'sacrifice' my time to develop other parts of the game.
For those looking for the best game experience please download the game from the link below. I had made the WebGL for convenience sake and it was my first time too so it didn't really work out in the end.
Finally, Thank you so much for all the comments, they really made my day!

My date doesn't have much going for her professionally, but at least it's a good hobby for her to have.
The song is short but fun, and the graphics are very cute. Typing out the phrases felt really good especially when you realized you were missing a letter. The dialogue was surprisingly deep and believable, and being put in situations where you say something insensitive due to the lack of letters is really smart.
Wonderfully surprised by your game, best compo game I've seen so far!
This game was really good I enjoy the unique take on sacraficing things. I also really like the unintentional comedy of realising that I just sacrificed an important letter without really thinking about it.
And thanks everybody for your comments, it made my day!
Also, headsup, if you mark your windows download as such on Itch, people will be able to download it through the Itch game app.
Pretty fun otherwise though, would've liked a buzzer or something when you tried to type a sacrificed letter, but thats just nitpicking
But overall, amazing work! Would love to see more!
@pukami Try to use the offering mechanic of the game if you haven't encountered it. Other than that you have the knowledge of your previous experience to assist you.

It took me a while to figure out how to actually play due to things like tapping space to advance to the next dialog, and starting the game by typing, were both a little unclear.
Very nice graphics!
Nice concept.
@daruudaruu I don't know how to draw backgrounds for my life
