This is really a fantastic entry! The "Puck Off" is particularly enjoyable. I'm impressed at the setup and level of polish. Well done! My one gripe is similar to your feedback on my game: I'd love to better be able to predict where my puck people are headed... But again, perhaps that's part of the skill.

Wow, the game is super polished for a gamejam entry, I really like the basic gameplay idea behind it and you've managed to pack quite a lot of stuff into the game. You can already see a hint of a great party game in it :D

interesting turn based hockey
- would have been nice to have the AI slightly smarter, but this is just a 48 hour game, so no problems.
- some music would have been nice
- some crowd cheering would have been nice.
- made for some interesting physic game play - almost like playing billiards, but with little people as the cue balls.

@jason-kennedy Yeah I unfortunately didn't have time for music and I attempted to make some crowd cheering SFX but it did not go well LOL. Thanks for playing!!

This game is pucking amazing and hilarious. The physics are perfect. I fell out of my chair laughing, the first time the announcer complimented one of my shots :)

I'm not sure why you didn't make the whole arena fit on a single screen? The scrolling was awkward at times.

Thanks for the game!

i love this one. its a really cool idea and i could see some interesting gameplay with bouncing your player off the wall and stuff - i almost hit the puck twice by having the player bounce off the puck, then off the wall, and back towards the puck in one stroke.

its pretty easy that you can just click exactly where you want to send your character - the distance display in a small radius around your selected player doesnt even matter because you can see your mouse cursor - if you understand how to aim pool or billiards shots you can just click exactly in the right spot every time.

really cool game though

Fun game! It was very difficult at first but once I started paying more attention to setting up positionally for a future shot I was able to score. It would be awesome to be randomly paired and have an online version of this but that is probably out of the scope of a game jam!

Wow this is really fun! It's more of a final game than a game jam entry. Very nice!

Game is pretty solid. Turn based doesn't work well with sports, or at least it doesn't here, which supports the theme. Despite that it actually was fun.

Great entry! I hope it gets a little more polish after the jam, because I'd love to play it with harder AI

Nice! I can't believe this was done in only 48 hours!

I'm not big fan of sports or sports game, so for me the turn-based apsect actually made it more fun!

As everyone else in here, really impressed that this is a 48 hour game. Amazing work, you can tell you've been working a lot those 2 days. And the art! Gosh, I wish I could make art like that, man. Nice job :ok_hand:

That was pucking unbelievable. I could only get it to end in a tie though lol. You meshed these two genres really well together, look forward to that online multiplayer

This was a charming pucker of a game! Really liked the concept, think it'd be really fun multiplayer. Its got hints of subbuteo, curling and hockey (and air hockey!). I think if mastered some dirty little combo moves could be set up. passing was quite hard since all players moved simultaneously, and blocking other players felt less important since it was turn based and you knew they werent going to get in your way! Really fun and original idea, looking forward to the online experience!
