Front Line Fury is Tower Defense 2D Game that use the official LDJam 44 them "Your Life is Currency" as it's main highlight. You are a unique ape that have power blood that can be used to build structures, then enemy want to take it from you because it's priceless. Your job is to protect yourself from waves of enemies by deploying structures that will defend you but with the cost of your own hp. Be wise managing your resources, which is you.

Solo for this time and using my favourite engine including the other opensource software as my choice. Godot Engine 3.1, Krita for 2D art and texture.

All assets are my own (art, music, etc) and I made entire of it in 13 hours of total game dev for this jam, solo. I hope I'll go better next time. thanks!

Wow!! I still haven't played it but it looks very cool, I will play it as soon as I submit my game.

Looks very cool! Atmosphere is awesome, and the music is good, although it stopped for me after going into the tutorial and then the main game. The pacing was a tad slow, and when i clicked on the little orange bois, i wasnt getting any of the resource. Otherwise, super cool game!

Really nice graphics and audio, really clean UI, however game could be a lot more fast paced and could get harder faster.

For 13 hours of development like stated in the README, the game's pretty playable. However I only can play it in a Windows VM, since I'm a Mac user. Every ten seconds or so the game got stuck for 2 secs. Not sure, if this is the game or the VM.

Interesting take on the theme, this is the first submission in LD44 i've seen to have the tower defense concept. This game stands out in the quality of the assets used. Very reminiscent to Plants Vs. Zombies. Some background music would be nice to break the monotony of the soundscape in the game. But overall, great submission. Congrats!

Love plants-v-zombies type games, this was an good one (especially for 48 hrs)! Having your health also be what you spend on towers is really interesting. I like it a lot, would be cool to see this with even more towers!

Reminds me of Plants vs Zombies. I'm impressed with what you managed in just 13 hours!
The gameplay is fun but a little slow - I think everything needs to be sped up just a bit (monster spawning and health regeneration via Essence Reactors). It would also be great to get some more visual feedback from the dropped items that you pick up, so you can tell what it's doing. I ended up getting stuck with a monster attacking my Essence Reactor, but my reactor didn't appear to take any damage and no more monsters would spawn, so I had to restart. Good work, keep it up!

Thank you @dkmk100 hope to play your game soon.

@holden lol yeah I think it's because I tested it on above level 5 which every 5 secs auto spawn enemies (below level 5 will have 50% only to built up the lane and max hp). Thanks tho!

@kevin-palani yes thanks. I think it's slow and my bad for testing it on faster tempo too many times so the slow paced game seems need to be reconfigured.

@manuel-rauber I don't know about the laggy stuff but it works fine here, maybe I need to test it more to know if something buggy or what. Btw it could be because I use the mask and particles in an appropriate way without thinking of the cost. Thanks again!

@von-vista yeah sure I always thinking about the audio all the time but again I could not use my collections because it's not fit with the game itself, and then comes the time and deadline so I just made some so simple like that lol. but thank you.

@slimabob the idea is to stick with the official them in my mind, not a good one but still can push the idea somewhere. I think I learn more. Thank you.

@mharring ah yeah the fx, actually I already make the fx but they both have the same for towers and the reactor and looks weird but I think I should put that on, despite I don't use sfx for enemy attack. Really helpful, thank you. I'll note it down.

Not sure what is the point of the golden nugets that fly across screen is and the game needs to get way harder but overall I enjoyed it a lot. Good spin on the theme and cool gameplay.

@listonos that golden stone is etherion and it supposed to increase max hp by 50 for each 10 of it that collected by player. and yes the game is kinda easy because I try to find the balance between towers damage and enemies hp etc, but thank you.

@luis-j-benitez thanks man and yeah about the pace I really think about it alot. thank you

This game reminds me of PvZ :) It fits the theme perfectly too.
First of all it is impressive to accomplish so much in 48 hours :D
However, as the others said, the game is quite slow paced. So I think a speed up button would be very convenient :D

Also I have noticed a bug: the gold falling from sky would disappear after pausing the game. I think this is because the visuals stopped updating but the gold was actually still falling in the background.
One other minor thing: the trap icons would look better and less confusing if they were of the same size as the buildings and towers.

I think an additional tutorial page that explains what the falling objects are would be very helpful too.

Good game overall :D

wow, for only 13 hours, this is impressive - especially with all the art and music! i found it a little slow-paced at times, but it's a really cool use of the theme! :)

Clone Plants Vs. Zombies
Very dark map, the enemies on the right are not visible, but the guns are already shooting. At the same time frozen enemies shine blue through the darkness.
Yellow pieces fall from above - why? They give nothing.

Great idea for this theme. I think you got the damage between towers damage and enemies just right. I like the overall level of polish and graphics for something made so quickly. Geat job!

The overall mood is awesome!!! And that music <3 there is something magical of doing everything yourself, and humbling at the same time.
The mechanics are perfect, a "next wave" button would be amazing and a game speed option.
