Difficult platformer. I liked the sad ghost  but always got stuck in the room with the many candles for some reason. Cute knight and graphics, and the spaeric tune fitted great. Great job!

This game is very satisfying to play. You feel happy when you beat a chalange, but you also feel rageful when you die. It dosen't have any throwaway levels like most platformers, every room is a chalenge and that is why I like it.

I need checkpoints! :D

Good job on the visuals and music, you just received my highest "mood" rate!

Great art, music, and movement. I couldn't get past the shovels, though I liked their story. I really like when and how the text bubbles appear.

There were a few background things that I wasn't sure whether or not I could interact with them. In one screen (the one before the shovels), there's a hanging sword and a rock-looking thing above it. I jumped to the rock, and nothing happened. I expected something to happen.

All in all. Great execution.

@pincushion, After the jump, when you are already flying down, a shovel does damage to you, and you are thrown up. You need to have at least 4 lives to pass this moment) Anyway, thanks for playing!!!

Zip inside another ZIP Willam you crazy :frog: A solid plattformer dude, art is grate but maybe differentiate the style on what you can and can not jump on(this probably just Jam limitations). Also the text needs to be controlled by the player, like just let me click E for next msg insted of waiting  . I would also suggest allow the player more control over his jump, right now dosent matter if i tap or hold spacebar i go max height, i just couldn't get the precision jump needed to get past these damn :rat: :gun: ![NOT Shovel knight.PNG](///raw/e62/91/z/22188.png)
Also love the shovel knight reference :frog:

I loved the art style and feel of the game. Only two minor complaints: 1) Not being able to control the text speed. It was always too slow for me. 2) There were certain decorations that I thought would do something but were just decorations. This is one I'm gonna come back to and beat!

It was fun playing your game. I like the art style and this placating music on background. And yeah, text pop-ups was quite slow for my opinion. Good job anyway!

Difficult platformer for sure, but it was fun. :)
I wish there were checkpoints though, since the game is a bit difficult.

I agree with (@skylark721), having to start all over again makes it a bit hard.
But the graphics and the rest, awesone!

Loving the art in this. The music is good and the gameplay challenging (presumably that was the goal)

The other commenters said most of it. I Liked your game. Sometimes it was hast to guess what hits you and what doesn't and whats a plattform. (But thats alwys a problem) Text Speed was slow.
Oldschool jump/run mechanics are nicely implemented and artstyle is cool.

Awesome art and great concept over all.
That moment I realized that I had to damage my self to jump higher still gives me chills xD

Tho I did feel that the game was a little too punishing.
It gives you almost no room for error, which I found really annoying after figuring out what to do a realizing that I had to redo the whole game just to proceed.

Also I think the background is a lil too distracting.
I often found my self questioning what is a wall when I was in a panic running away or dodging.

And the text scrolled way to slow for me xD
Maybe a skip to the next text box after pressing E again would be great.

I really love the aesthetic, great job! If you continue developing the game, I would love to see more lore in this game. Like a bunch of books/papers on top of the ghosts that give you small hints of a bigger picture of the world. As a little reward after getting over an obstacle. I really enjoyed the obstacles you made, hope you're proud of what you made in this short time!

I played a little and i think it needs a Reset button (sometimes your trapped and you have to wait to die) and another one to skip dialogues that are really slow. I found it to punishing too, i used the secret key to finish it. Btw the gamefeel is really nice and graphics and audio fits perfectly.

Good Job !

This is the Dark Souls of platformers :P The controls are on point which is important in a game this punishing. I dig the pixel art and the background ambience really sets the mood. It reminds me of something I heard in a float tank before lol. Interesting take on the theme. Well done!

Awesome game!
The art and music were amazing.
The game was also very good, good job on the level design!
I think adding a checkpoint system and being able to speed up the dialogue would be a good addition.
Overall a very nice submission, and I'm glad I got to play it!

the controls were so spot on for this game requiring precision -- really like that -- great game -- thanks for making it
