Apocarmalypse by CocaPasteque
The apocalypse is coming for you !
But you can still survive a few more days to save the people. Jump in your cool car and share your fuel with survivors to help them escape the apocalypse.

Controls :
- [A] and [D] To move up and down.
- [Space] To rescue a survivor.
- [Click] On a follower fuel bar to share your fuel with him.
- [Click] The red button next to a follower's fuel bar to abandon him in the fire from hell.
EDIT :
The Post LD44 Version fixes a wrong configuration of the project settings and graphic settings. The keyboard inputs were not always taken and the shadows were missing.

Pros :
- Even if it was not made by you, great graphics and music choice, which add a lot to the play comfort.
- Constant tension due to the exploding cars making you lose karma and the diminishing fuel. Very effective gameplay overall.
- The shop part is fun and adds a lot to the experience
Cons :
- The controls were not always responsive, and I missed several friendly cars when I was sure to have pressed space in time.
- Are you supposed to be able to drive without fuel in your main tank ? That is what happened to me at the end of level 2...
All in all, great job !
I think there could be more emphasis on the last 10-15 seconds of the level. Maybe add a ticking clock, change colours or add more explosion, so it's clear when you are getting closer.
I think it would also add with sound effects for ex moving, overlapping cars, add fuel.
Other then that I think that it was a really engaging experience :)
And the art is beautiful.
@Pyrian : Really good point, totally forgot a back to main menu option there, gonna add it too. Thanks for your feedback :)
definitely love the art and the level
We are aware of the controls, the post jam version tries to fix it but it's still not perfect but more playable :)
One tiny non-important bug: clicking to quit the game doesn't actually quit the game
What you can improve:
* make a little tutorial for explaing the sharing fuel concept and destroy followers
* add a little cross on red button (use for destroy followers)
* a little more big the height of the followers fuel bar
* when hovering a followers fuel bar, add a little focus feedback
* try to add a percentage on fuel bar
Nice entry; had a lot of fun with this one.
Also im not really good in 3D Games, so im a bit jealous.
