Oh man, Love the variations, amazing game, but for me, if is little too dark and I couldnt differentiate blocked tiles from free tiles. 4/5

Nice, clever twist on an unremarkable concept. Though I couldn't get past the flag level either, is there a solution to that?

Damn that was a nice puzzle game. I think this is my favorite game from this jam so far! :D No complaints!
(Took me 10 minutes to find the solution to the flag puzzle but it exists and I am so glad I found it!)

Actually, it's an excellent puzzle game!
I think it would be so cool if you add story to this. It would be amazing)
And artwork is great

This was super clever! I really enjoyed working out the puzzles, even if they were frustrating at times. I liked that you were able to show artwork that didn't get into the main part of the game on the final level. I would definitely enjoy having this be a part of a grander rpg as a mechanic. As is though, a really cool puzzle game!

This was really entertaining! Definitely one of the more interesting takes on the whole inventory management theme. Well polished too!
Made it to the "Thanks for playing" level, which I assume is the last? Not sure if it's supposed to be beatable, but I gave up after a while... :D

can't vote, but I too am stuck on the level with the flag. No matter how much I assemble/disassemble, the inventory is always one tile too few.

Very nice concept, the art was good and clear which is important to know where stuff goes.
Couldnt finish the last level(looked like it, the one that said thanks for playing on a banner), if its even possible to beat.

Fantastic game, one of the best I tried so far. I spent more time on the flag level than I'd be willing to admit, but overall the puzzles felt rewarding and well thought. I'll probably check out on a post-ludum expanded version, if you'll ever release one!

Nice animations and wonderful gameplay. I have enjoyed mechanics of assemble and disassemble. I wish i could disassemble and reassemble equipment in RPGs. Standalone puzzle game is great too.

Minor feedback: it's quite hard to distinguish which inventory slot is open

Fantastic game. Big props for your tutorial. Often overlooked in games, but you did it basically without using words. It's great. This is probably the best game I've seen so far, even though it only marginally hits the theme. And I've reviewed 70 or so. Congratulations.

One of the best inventory management in LD42, really enjoyed the disassemble and assemble feature.

It would be better if the grid between droppable space and blocked space more distinguishable

A textbook example of good tutorial design: Introduce one mechanic at a time, and don't let them continue until they've sussed it out. Probably the best game I've played so far in terms of visuals and concept. Well done!

I got stuck in the middle of it, but I had a lot of fun.

Awesome game. Some of the puzzles were actually super interesting, which is shocking for a puzzle game made in such a short time! Great job! My biggest gripe was that the screen is very small, so I had to zoom in my browser. Not a huge deal, but just thought I should mention it.

Really liked your idea and execution - I laughed at the sausage part :) The only problem is, the game is SUPER dark and I had to really focus my eyes to see where I can put stuff and where I can't do that. Not sure what was the idea behind the graphics - although, gotta say, it did give a nice retro "dark" vibe with the music - but you should totally make the tiles more distinguishable from each other.

Didn't get past the flag puzzle, but still had fun. :D

Was great fun! I'd love to see the idea extended upon!
The colors are problematic though, you can't really see the "bad squares"..

Great idea! I really liked the design of the puzzles and how you taught the player what to do by making items for them to place. Good job! :D

fantastic scope and execution of a game jam idea. A little more contrast between blocked and empty tiles would be nice, but hard to come up with much to criticise!

Neat game! Fits the theme. Simple music and graphics. Puzzles are quite interesting, progressively more difficult and introduce ideas that change the way you think about how to solve them. Would have been crazy if the thank you for playing level was indeed solveable. Great job!

I think it is a clever idea and I enjoyd playing it. It definitly matches the theme and you did a great job.
Only thing that felt a bit weird was that you can place the items only in a specific place. There should be more optical indication for this,

Love it! Great, simple, to the point graphics, the sounds design makes me feel every manipulation of the objects' crunchiness, cool music, great, great mechanics. The teaching of the puzzles ramps up excellently.

One gripe is that the obstructed backpack spaces are kinda hard to tell apart at first, I didn't understand that for a while.

The only gripe I have is that the puzzles have a very try-everything feel to it rather than a-ha! Type of puzzling. I personally don't like that as much but it's still really good!! GREAT WORK! :D

This game is amazing! Really fun and it fits perfectly with the theme of Ludum Dare 42. Also the learning curve is really well designed and it gets more and more interesting while you advance though the levels with the assemble and dissassemble mechanics. Well done!

Extreamly difficult at parts and i loved it. The clanging of the crafting felt satisfying and i felt overjoyed when i completed a puzzle. Congratulations and hit the theme on the head!

Very good one.
Too sad it is kind of short, but nevertheless it was a good experience
I even think that you may make it part of some other game, this kind of inventory management is very interesting on itself

For those stuck on flag level: You can assemble hilts into other weapons than what they originally were.

Not a very original take on the theme but the implementation is great, with a lot of little clever twists.

The art is good, very efficient, and the music is a bit repetitive but not annoying. The level of polish makes it a very enjoyable experience.

Good initiative to have posted the solutions on this page.

Great job :)

Thank you for sharing your game with me. I played it on my stream tonight at https://www.twitch.tv/saoigames

I have rated your game, but all of my feedback was captured in the stream. I'm sorry I didn't see your submission while I was playing the VR. I tried to wait for your to return to the chat so I could play while you watched, but you didn't return. I played your game as the second to last one of the night.

You can hear my comments in the archive at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/299357576?t=09h42m27s

What a great, solid game. The mechanic is simple and the implementation is pretty much perfect. The art style and the audio design mesh really well. The interface and puzzle elements are intuitive. Excellent work!

Nice inventory management game. I like the break and combine mechanic. The puzzles were very trail and error in order to solve. I wish the blocked cells were colored or shaded in a more distinct way to make it more clear.
