Monsters & Portals by Limitless
You have been banished to a world filled with monsters, ruled by a hungry Demon lord. You have to hunt monsters and offer them as sacrifice to the demon to escape the world. Use portals spread throughout the world to offer your sacrifices faster. If things are going tough, consider sacrificing yourself with other monsters! Enjoy!
Controls:
- Left/Right: Movement
- Up/Z: Jump
- Down/S: Pick up/Drop items
- X: Attack
- C: Dash
How to Play:
Kill monsters and take the item they drop and put it on the Altar. Make sure the item stays on the Altar until the Demon Lord consumes it. Also, don't stay on the Altar after dropping the item - else the demon might harm you - unless you want to sacrifice yourself! :)
Tip:
Instead of taking items back to the altar by yourself, just throw them into portals spread throughout the level. All portals lead to the altar!

Nicely done!
All in all a solid entry
The combat is where it's lacking a bit though. The enemies don't get knocked back when I hit them (and obviously they don't really attack but I assume that's because of time constraint) and it feels a little annoying.
The suggestion I would make would be to scale up the rhythm. Right now the demon's hunger rises so slowly and the sacrifices give so little return that I felt I could as well have waited. Maybe make the hunger start from 0%, grow much faster but the sacrifices actually give you a meaningful 10 to 20% recess ?
Small nitpick : the small slime enemies are the most annoying thing to see!
I found the controls a bit confusing (i kept trying to jump with up instead of z).
I wish the starting area was a bit safer, I often lost health in the first seconds of the game.
Overall, it's a fun game to play, congrats !
