Star Traveller by SecondDimension

Star Traveller is a small game about helping a lost alien find a home. It's a point and click game with some light puzzle elements, but it's primarily designed as a little audio/visual experience. It was made over 72hrs by 3 team members, and all code, art, sounds and music were made by us during the weekend.

A relaxed, pleasant experience overall. Nice job!
PS: Any chance of a post-compo with more planets? :innocent:
You 'closed out' your puzzles nicely - seeing the shield come up on the planet under attack, seeing the other planets turn to earth like worlds when you switched the cores, it was all just really satisfying.
Good job!
It was simple but it plays very smoothly and the puzzles vary a bit so it's not repetitive. The audio also helped the mood.
Only improvement I could see is just more content.
Here's mine, if you'd like to give it a try. Good luck!

Really nice experience!
@ithildin Unfortunately I don't think there will be a post-compo version. We enjoyed working on it but we have another project on that needs to take priority
Very good on-boarding for the player with the speech bubbles, all in all a very polished entry and a fun experience.
You should expand on this with more mini games to get the keys, it would be easy to use as a platform for dozens of classic mini-games, one in each system (sokoban, invaders, pacman, ...). I think you are sitting on a great idea here!
The only thing that you could try to improve minimally is the fading of the songs, maybe a bit longer, or blending the songs together.
The game did a good job of explaining how I'm meant to play, but I still got a feeling that I was randomly clicking on things. It was a bit frustrating which detracted from the audio/visual experience, only a bit though. Overall it's excellent.
The mood was great, it really was relaxing! I personally found the texts not necessary and I would have loved too "experiment" more to understand the game mechanics (a bit like games like Samorost)
Anyway, great work, I had fun !
Mood was great, gfx fit in nicely with everything, I enjoyed the overall experience.
I found one bug in the 2 planet core level, where if you click one core twice fast enough to collect it, it'll fill up the slot for both cores - but that's nothing game-breaking heh. Good stuff!
but the camera movement and some sprites were a bit jaggeredy other than that, nice game
Unfortunately, I feel like the game itself is weak in a couple of areas. The explanations feel a little redundant, and the gameplay is far too basic to be engaging. It feels more like a paint-by-numbers than a game.
I know the focus was on visuals and sound, which you definitely succeeded at, but the lack of good game play kind of detracts from it . . . :(
Great music, and visual as always. Although like most people already said it, the game is a little bit too simple, but I think the music made up for it. Overall, great entry!
I really like this game
The puzzles were a bit simple, but I guess if you go further with this game, they will be nice for the first "world".
To sum up, it was nice to play it! :)
And props to Darwin for being a cat! :p
You guys must upload it somehwere!!!
I've never played a point and click game so i was a little confused at the beginning
But i made it to the end and have to say i really liked it!
Overall great artstyle, cool small puzzels. Very good Game!
I feel that the text that describes aligning the moons at the beginning is a little redundant, since the goal is highlighted nicely with the beam. Perhaps if enough time passed then the helpful text could appear? Very minor nitpick though!
Can really see this as the intro a series of increasingly challenging puzzles in a larger game. Brill job. :D
Apart from that - this is a great entry and, with a little more time for minor improvements, it could be truly excellent!
I wonder if you just went back to the first level that was already completed, maybe we should have made it clear when you went back to an area that there was nothing else to do there
