Only One Place by Devon L. Steyn

[raw]
made by Devon L. Steyn for LD 41 (JAM)

Only One Place is Racing-Platformer set in a simplistic environment. You play as a small car that needs to reach the end of the level before its Truck rival does. This was made in 48 hours in The Jam category for Ludum Dare 41, hope you enjoy as this is our first game in Ludum Dare.

I worked on this game with @mark-hefer , he's responsible for the art and most of the level design.

Nice platformer, but I encurred in a pretty hard bug:

In the overall, a car-platformer is a nice idea that well fit with the Jam theme, :)

@Memel06 Thanks for the bug report! I am aware of that bug, the reason is because the top part of the car's box collider is a trigger, not an actual physical collider. However, the bottom part is, so essentially the car has 2 box colliders, except one is a trigger, and can't interact with the physical world.

Thanks for the report and thanks for playing our game! It means a lot.

You can increase in height the dark blue portion of the car, in this way you cannot pass through the stairs, nor the wall! :)

@Memel06 You're right, although I do only really need to increase the size of the physical box collider on the y-axis just a tad, but that'll be about it for the car then. Again, thanks so much for the feedback and review(s). This was actually my first LD and it's really heart-warming to see that people actually take their time to play and review my game, thanks so much, and God bless.

I cannot run your 64 bit .exe, could you build a 32 bit version that runs on Windows XP? That would be great!

@gonutz I'll upload the x86 version on my itch.io page, I will only be able to do this later on though, as I am busy now. But it's no problem, I'll release the 32-bit version later on today. :)
