In SacriMage you are a Mage exploring a Dungeon. To be able to cast spells you will have to sacrifice some of them. How deep can you get ?

SacriMage is my second time entering a Ludum Dare and it still has a lot of rough edges. Nevertheless I hope your find some enyoment with it and as always any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Edit:Since the submission time for the jam wasn´t yet over i applied a quick bugfix. The Bug where you were stuck in an endless loop of reloading after dieing should be fixed now. Hopefully there are no other major bugs.

I loved the game idea but i had some bugs.First problem is, when i used a card on a enemy, WASD controls are broke down and didn't work.Second problem is, after i died first time, if i press a key while playing second time on dungeon stage, game push me back to main screen.However i liked game mechanics and pixel arts, good job :)

I quite enjoyed the game, just hade a issue that every time i died and tried to restart the game it wouldnt do so properly and forced me to reload the webpage.

When you lose, you go back to the main menu and get stuck there, you can't play again. I had to restart the page in order to do that.

I liked the idea. Took me a second to understand the directions. Enemy pathing was a little weird and my character managed to break free of the grid somehow. But I made it reasonably far. Thanks!

It took me a few tries to get how to play. Somehow after I died the first time I couldn't use the cards in the second run.

I really like this concept! I'm always a fan of games with magic, and I love the idea of having lots of spells and having to sacrifice some to cast others. Unfortunately I ran into some frustrating issues. My spells often seemed to do nothing - such as damaging spells playing the animation on top of enemies but doing nothing, and healing spells never giving me any health back. It was also hard to tell when I took damage, as there was no indicator other than health decreasing. Other than that, great work, and I'd love to see where this could go with some issues resolved!

Very cool and inovative idea! Had fun playing it!
As a little tip i would suggest putting a screenshot on this Ludum Dare page next time so that people see how the game looks and are more inclined to playing it :)
