Elevator Pitch by Rulrite
Welcome to the wonderful Solfège Tower!
Made to fit the theme of 'two button controls', Elevator Pitch is a game about hitting the right note. Or matching them, at least! Listen carefully, and help your musical pals get to the floor they want. You have to be quick - don't let the lift become too crowded, for your own safety!
--- Controls ---
- Use the mouse to click around the menu.
- Click 'Play' or press Enter to begin.
- In game, either click the buttons on the right hand side of the screen or use your arrow keys to move between floors.
- Click on a syllable/note to hear their sound again.
--- Options ---
To better help you to learn the solfège at your own pace, you can pick and choose from a variety of options:
- Mode -
- Normal: basic gameplay.
- Colour chaos: a more difficult mode in which the colours of the notes/syllables are randomised. (This mode is very buggy, but it still sort-of works.)
- Shape up!: the hardest mode. Notes/syllables are replaced by random shapes.
- Style -
- Solfège syllables: Do, Re, Mi, etc.
- Musical notes: standard music notes, to help you learn how the solfège is related.
- Note Chart -
- Visible: you can see the note chart on the left, and the current position of the elevator.
- Hidden: a challenging mode for those who want to rely on sound alone.
You can also switch between two different voices, and have the option to turn other sound effects off.
--- Notes ---
This game is meant to be educational as well as fun, so if you feel that the game is too easy or too hard, please play around with the settings to find a comfortable mix.
I have opted into the audio category just because of the phenomenal job my friends Livvy and Jono did with the sound (thanks again!). However, the title-screen music is not mine, so I ask that you ignore it when voting.
