Hello Ludum folks, we are La Cabra Games and our game is SurviBall.

SurviBall is a resource management-puzzle game in which you control Moñeco. Moñeco has a little and fluffy friend called Spike who follows Moñeco everywhere. You must help Moñeco and his little friend Spike to build the mystery building and maybe they will find something there ;).

You have to manage the resources properly to avoid Moñeco starving while building the mystery building. To feed Moñeco, he just need to take vegetables, sheeps or water and go to his house... … And if you don't know what to do, try mixing different objects, the order doesn't matter.

You can play the game here:

You can also see the source code in here:

Thank you very much for playing this small game, we hope you had a good time playing it! :D

SPOILER

Try mixing:

--> Logs with house.

--> Logs with mystery building.

--> Logs with destroyed ranch.

--> Ranch with lettuce.

--> Ranch with house.

The way I ended up playing involved spending almost all of my turns making food/building up the cabin to eat in with only occasionally being able to squeeze in a turn for the mystery building, which wasn't very fun.
The game looks stunning though and has lots of charm. Just maybe make it a bit more lenient in the hunger department. :)

Great game. Lovely art and nice music (perhaps the "poooom" every turn you mix something is a little anoying).

The game concept is funny, and i have to confess, I died 5-6 times for using wood in the mistery building instead of calculating the turns i will need for feed me xD. That was funny, making some type of strategy to survive and build the mistery building.

Nice entry overall, good work!

PD: There is a bug with textures in the webgl version because everything seems black.

Looks great and the game play is all about find the right algorithm of action to progress. I agree with @zirrus, it feels like you spend a little too much on hunger management. I would suggest making the sheep pen not need to be rebuilt each time; maybe every other time or RNG based.
I also think having the house have 1 level built at the start might be a better new player experience.

Gorgeous art style. I am terrible at staying alive. Really great entry.

Really loving the art and animations, very well made. The error sound got very fast very annoying (the other sounds seemed good) and there was so much trial and error involved that at 5 tries I knew how to go through it, but missclicked once at day 21 and didn't try again. It felt honestly a bit tedious and like there is just one way to play the game correctly. I would have enjoyed it more if there was room for a little bit of error, so I didn't need to start over so often.

Really like the kind of GROW style of the game. But, after a short while you figure out how to survive forever and then it just takes a really long time to build the mystery building (unless you screw up and die after 45 days). Really nice graphics, art animations. The transition when building is really cool.

This was really cute! I really, really like the look, and though it took me a few deaths to figure out the rules, I did eventually persevere: I like the ending, too.

One way to expand the game would be to make it a little less brutal in terms of resources, so that you can afford to spend turns non-optimally; and then add different weird little easter eggs wherever you currently get an error sound. Maybe a 'bonus' ending if you manage to survive and build the lighthouse after discovering all of the easter eggs.

Regardless, this is definitely one of the nicest-looking entries I've run into so far, and it was fun to play, too.

did a Cabbage only run 'cus was to afraid to miss on the generation of sheep (didn't know it needed cabbages). It's a 5/5 survival 'cus I was afraid to die, and being this cute character, I wanted tu survive. loved the graphics and the feel so I could overcome the gameplay being a bit bland( a faster pace or way to fast forward once you are doing the same thing over and over would go a long way instead of re-balancing the whole thing ). just frigging loved it either-way! congratulations, this is capital work! and now, I see. the spoiler.

Awesome game! I like the low poly art style and the spin effect with the motion blur is nice. Unfortunately, I found a bit cryptic - there's really no way to get better at the game other than trial and error, and once you do figure it out it's pretty easy to survive indefinitely

Cool game and concept! I beat the game without sheep and as others said it got a little tedious once you realize how to survive indefinitely. But I could see this expanded to different islands, each with it's own survival puzzle. Art style is great, though the spinning part makes it hard what effect the combination you tried had.

The art style is really nice, I think this can be improved if the hunger meter was a bit higher as we do need some prep to happen in order to stay alive. But otherwise, it's a fantastic game!

I loved almost everything about this game. Once I figured out eating the sheep was the way to go, I was able to finish the game(After the second attempt cause I forgot to build my house).

Only thing that threw me off was, I figure once I built the house to level 3, it would stop falling apart after eating. Other than that good job!

At some point I managed to get a stomach with 5/4, not sure if this is a bug or a feature. :sweat_smile:

Any way. This is a really cool little game. It works completely different from what I first imagined.

Graphics are amazing !
The game is preatty good, I don't understand at the first time how to survive more than one week but after some test, I reach 21 days ^^

Good concept and mechanics, I enjoy playing your game.

Well done !

Hi, the game looks very pretty and has a nice atmosphere, but I'm afraid I just don't understand how to play. I tried following your suggestions at the top, but I just loose a hunger point every day and then it's game over. I took the cabbage to the house but I didn't get any health back? I guess I'm doing something wrong, but I tried a lot of things and the game didn't really give me any clues

@seconddimension Thank you for playing our game! Could it be that you were taking the cabbage to the house while it was unbuilt? You need at least one floor so you can eat inside. Hope this healps you :)

The game is beautiful, artistically it is a marvel, and the music accompanies very well and creates atmosphere. The mechanics of the game is simple but gives result, you just have to try a little and the solution comes out. A very entertaining game, a small work of art. Congratulations.

Gorgeous graphics, soothing audio, and semi-meditative gameplay loop. Oh my. I like this one.

Took me about 60 days to get the mysterious building complete. Interesting reveal, definitely worth the effort.

I found the food system slightly unintuitive, but other than that...I have zero complaints. :thumbsup:

Oh it's wonderful! especially the end is so cute and it surprised me ! I like it! And I believe if you have more time the game will be more amazing! Thank you for your little girl. But I'm not sure weather the Spike is just a pet which can not help the girl.
