Innovative game! I like the concept. The faces were menacing!

I made it to level 2 pretty easily but couldn't figure that one out.

Thanks! I was hoping for the faces to have a menacing yet silly appeal.
I tried for Level 2 to be follow a thin line between victory and defeat to keep the suspense!

Hi there! From my point of view, this game is quite interesting, I like the idea of viruses spreading in a computer and blocking your way, which is very consistent with the theme "running out of space". On the other hand, I think you should put a background music into your game to make players feel the pressure and improve their mood when playing the game.

Nice interpretation of the theme! Couldn't make it past level 1 as a lot was going on. Maybe you could consider lowering the spawn rate of the viruses and bring it back up in later levels. Also I couldn't tell if it was a glitch or an intended feature but it seems my antivirus would shut off after a short amount of time, but only on some ports. If it is an intended feature, I would recommend raising that time a bit as I could only get to about half before they start to turn off.

@roy-berardo The shield effect is indeed meant to shut off after a certain amount of time (~15 secs), which then require ~15 secs afterwards to recharge and accept another antivirus disk! It was intended to add a smidgen of strategy to the game where your timing is also important... plus the luck factor as every game plays a little different than the last.

Hi all! Thank you for the awesome feedback! :D I appreciate that you enjoyed my artsy faces! This was my first Jam and I was a bit overwhelmed on the art side, but I appreciate your friendly critique. Thanks again!

That was fun. It was very difficult but I think I managed to make it through both levels! When I ran out of time on the second one it flashed a different screen and returned me to the main menu so if that is how it is when you finish the second level it might be nice to make it a little more clear that you have won  I also would have appreciated a little description of how the game functions at the start, with the shield timeouts and such.

Overall very nice and challenging! Great work!

I like the atmosphere of the viruses filling up the space. With some more fine tuning on how they spawn and how you interact with them, you can get a really intense, almost horror movie feel. Fun stuff!

Game had a simple theme, and was well executed. The virus count UI was very nice as well, felt imminent threat of being taken over by the viruses! It would have been really awesome to have a quick tutorial / text blob with how to destroy the viruses, but I learned after a bit of trial and error how to add disks to the devices to terminate the viruses. Awesome work!

 @astralore I'm glad you seemed to enjoy it! You did indeed finish the game; much of the menu and transition system was rushed last minute and in hindsight there was plenty we realized that we should have added post-publishing the game haha.

Thank you for your suggestions! We shall keep it in mind for next time :thumbsup_tone2:

Awesome game. I was pleasantly suprised with the overall mood of the game. Hope you develop a post jam version for this!

The gameplay isn't really that compelling to me, mainly because the anti-virus range seems much to small. That being said, the viruses lead to some amazing proceduraly generated platforming/maze solving. If you were to make this into a full game, that's what I'd focus on. Great job overall though!

Good job! The core mechanic is an interesting idea, and as has been mentioned, it does turn into one big platformer/maze solver. That being said, the mechanics are a little frustrating. You should be able to place the anti-viruses wherever you want rather than at terminals, because it quickly becomes impossible to actually deal with 99% of the viruses, and this does kill the fun of the game. The graphics are decent, although the default unity audio should have been replaced. The mood was kinda killed by the lack of music/ambience and the aforementioned frustrating mechanics. Overall though, good job, neat idea, and a lot of work ahead of you if you intend to take this long distances.

Cheers!
