Sorry I just didn't found it fun to play, I like the graphics a lot though but I can't find fun playing it, also I had a bug when my Toolbar was on the side on my screen, the game was showing at the edge of my screen and cut in half

Just resize gamescreen and it will work fine.

Game isn't fun. Have you read game description?

Cool game and makes you think about how we spend our time.

Managed to survive for 79 hours. The always flashing hunger warning really makes the mood because it strikes too true.

Nice. Love the graphics and the audio. I wish our game had a finely tuned economy like this. That must have been hard to balance!

This game is really interesting, I like the way you adapt the theme, this is pretty smart!
Is there a way to be alive forever ? or did you test it to make it end after a certain time ?

Overall, you did a very great job !

@chacharl You always die in the end. You can fight back and try to keep you healthy, but end is always the same. Just like in real life :c

As someone who likes simulation games, this was really fun for me! I also had this epiphany moment when wondering how this game fit the theme that I am literally paying for my actions with time, which is part of my life. Put this on mobile and I'll probably play it because I honestly have nothing better to do most of the time :)

@random-thoughts thank you for great comment.

I wonder if players will take a moment to think about their actions and life.

I feel so great that I influenced someone's feelings

I like the game. The atmosphere is great thanks to the music and sounds. It can be improved though: Right now it's too difficult, but maybe life is lol. I just would like to be able to play longer, but i always die in about 3 days. It's not always clear what each option will result in, also i think sleep and overstrain should be combined, because the difference between those is a bit unclear.

@wie With a lot of goodnight sleep, healthy eating and excercises you can live longer. Just like in real life ;)

I separate Stress and Rest becouse you can be tired (ex. after Running) but not stressed at all or you can wake up rested, but be stressed, becouse of meeting at work etc.

Interesting Idea
and it really makes one to think about life and how we spend it. That was a really good ideo to let the player klick on the icons at the end to progress to see what he spend time for.

I had a small display bug, the screen was not correctly centered. Didn't prevent me from playing, I just couldn't see the actions on the far left of the screen (only click them).

It's simple, but it does exactly what you aimed for. To be taken as a small experience, which is a good fit for a game jam.

Only thing that would have made it better would have been some more fancy visuals to distract you from the clock, but that requires arts, which by essence requires more time ^_^

An interesting concept, if somewhat unforgiving; not sure I managed to get above 40-something hours on any of my playthroughs. It was a little confusing at times trying to keep track of which bars needed to be maximised and which needed to be minimised, as well as which bars each button would affect, but on the whole the game does a good job of conveying the intended message (even if that message is rather depressing).

01. May 2019 · 20:45 UTC
@peppsen I really tried to not use any text to describe game so I just rely on icons.

The first click on icon should give you hint what is going on ;)

Suitcase means work, You lose little health, a lot of rest, you get money and the blue bar is stress.

The status effects like "overstrain" also help.

Good concept. I just don't understand why you say that it's not fun. A game is made to be fun, and degrading your game is just like saying "Please don't play my game". Get more confidence and always think every person sees fun differently.
Good continuation for the other jams ;D

what a great idea! as others have said it really makes me think how i use my time. I managed to stay alive for 48 hours. I feel so good at real life all of a sudden! It was incredibly hard to choose what to prioritise and i think that sums up life really well.

When the text above the heart displayed 'hunger' i expected that it would get it filled up by eating burgers and soda but the reverse happened. Maybe it would have been nice to have a separate health and hunger bar? But i guess that just makes everything more difficult to balance. I really like that the different options are introduced only a few at a time so i get to learn what my options actually are. When one of the bars runs out and i die, i think the transition to the score board happened rather abruptly. Maybe you could use a little tween to make it more smooth? And then just some small things: The music is the same in the menu and the game itself. While there is nothing wrong with that, i think it makes the game less smooth that it is replayed from the start once i start the game. Also i think it was a bit unintuitive that i had to click each activity in the scoreboard in order to see the next. Also I think it would have been nice to see the total hours i managed to survive :) Again, i really enjoyed the game, very nice take on the theme! Congratulations! :))

@schrunkin This is best feedback I got here! You are right with nearly everything!

The "hunger" is like side effect for not eating for 8 hours. When activated, the every hour of being hungry deals damage to health.

When you eat junk food you are no longer hungry, BUT! Eating junk food is unhealthy so you lose some health.
Later on you can choose healthy food that have higher price, but is healthy ;)

But eating junk food also lower stress (blue bar).

Hope I explained why mechanics works this way ;)

@kilian-baptendier I actually want to make game not fun, because it resonated with feeling I had at that time.

Only working and sleeping and no time for fun, excercises or caring about myself.

I want to share this feeling to others :)

To improve the game, I think you could add a little visual, why not see his little character who suffers the consequences of your choices? :)
