Hey look at this by Sugiuro
The more mate you have, the worse it is!
You are a salaryman working for a small video game company.
You need to finish a project before the deadline. Since you're alone in this project, your boss is trying to hire some part-time trainees to help you, but they'll frequently ask for your help. You must help them when they have problems, so you can work together to finish the project in time.
To make progress in the project, you can do some work by clicking on the button "Fast, Medium or Long action". It will trigger a minigame. You can see the list of minigames after this paragraph. Your mates will bother you by saying some random chat. Sometimes, your mates will ask for your help. You can press the button associated with your mate to help him.
Minigame list:
Typing game : type as fast as you can the words written in the panel to make some progress into your project
Calculator game : help your mates doing some simple calculus
Controls: Use your keyboard to write words or numbers on the minigames. Use the mouse to choose actions in the panel on the right.
Please note that the "Input" menu when you launch Unity is not used in the game.
Note : The popup on the foreground are intended

And also fuck Kévin
It was so frustrating to get the popups over your own typing assignments and even worse to get them over the "help" sums. But I guess that was the point :P.
also since you said too in your post here is a link to my game :)

Spot on for annoyance! What about a "let me google that for you" mechanic?
The popups were indeed annoying, being on top of my code... But their annoyance fuels my coding rampage! I kept putting zips in my code, wonder why.
Nice game, pretty funny, with a good background music. You just need art, and maybe the possibility to customize the time you wanna spend, 8 minutes did feel a bit long. Overall, great work :)
Also, if you'd like, we'd love if you played ours :) https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/santas-factory
Would have been nice if the UI was a bit leaner, considering it was most of the game, it's a shame it wasn't a bit less obtuse (like the three action buttons in the top right, would have been interesting to have a workstation you clicked on or something instead)
Also the typing minigame, it wasn't immediately clear if you were typing the wrong thing (or indeed, exactly when you could type or couldn't because you'd been interrupted by a popup) so some feedback on when a keypress actually didn't do anything would have been nice (for when that particular minigame is active)
Nice work still :)
Yup, maybe we should've focused a little bit more on the UI and the art around it. We originally planned to make the actions buttons on a computer screen so the player could clic on it to launch an action, but since we weren't that confident into using Unity (we were 3 devs, 2 didn't touch Unity before, and I didn't do any finished project with it), so we used a simple UI. Same thing for the sound, it was originally planned but we put that feature aside and...well we didn't implement it then D:
However, in terms of gameplay, I didn't fell that it worked right : I had tasks which should have last for 5s staying on my screen for ever : I am not sure if it was a bug, or if there was something I didn't get. Also, the first minutes of the game are rather slow.
But, it was a good idea, and it would probably greatly benefit from some polish !
It was hard to see that I would have to type. It was necessary to read the publication to understand this. It would be interesting to have more visual feedback about this functionality (typing challenge) within the game.
I liked how the speeches of the trainees disrupted visually, representing them disrupting in the day to day. Hahahahah.
Seeing someone else learning is cool.
Well ... I could not conclude winning the game. Upset.
@vfabien21 : yup, the time limit for the tasks doesn't have any impact. It was a mistake in our game design, and we forgot to delete the time limits message in the tasks :c
@gustavo-christino : Since we wanted to focus on our game core functionnalities and minigames, we didn't think about putting a very explicit tutorial in the game. We should've thought about the tutorial earlier in our game dev.
