UPDATE.png " A long time ago in the Inca village of Tunapadtwa, the recent seism have destroyed part of the houses, the place is missing. Many of them are lacking space.

Find gold, rebuild a part of the village! "

Initially planned for the mode COMPO for lack of time I post in JAM mode.

Minor update "GOD INTI" protect you : - The enemy damage makes you lose a life and do not start again at the checkpoint as before. - Fall into the void makes you lose a life and start over at the last checkpoint as before. - When you lose all your lives you start again in the village with 3 lives, the god "INTI" steal all your gold but your progress is saved. - You can buy up to 4 lives from the village merchant.

Hey good job on your game! I liked the audio you used for your game and I like the idea since it gives the player a nice sense of progression buying the houses and filling out the starter zone. I wish jumping was bound to the space button instead of k. I also found it really hard to jump over the enemy mobs. I don't know if that's only me. Regardless, I loved the atmosphere of the game so nice job on that!

@seannewman22 In the idea it is better to destroy the enemies with the help of the shot! There are 2 temples one in the left zone, one in the right zone and one final boss!

The arts are really nice and sets a nice mood.
But I got stuck for a while with the controls : it took me a while to realise that I had to keep pressing k for a while to start. Also, don't manage to go past the first monster...

@vfabien21 Use WASD, K to jump and L to launch magic pounder bag ! (or you can play with a gamepad is more intuitive with A and B) Do not blame me i love old school platformer and it feels!

First of all, good job. I really like the art style you went for, it looks really nice.

The background music is pretty nice, I liked it. Some of the sounds were a bit annoying to me, maybe their volume was to high. For example: I went to the left and entered that temple, once the ceiling started coming down the sound was really loud.

The boss thingy in the temple was a pretty rough fight, once you get hit you get sent to the Checkpoint but the whole map resets and I guess the bosses health as well. I had to defeat him by blocking his path with the stone blocks, stand outside of his agro range and just spam the attack. This is actually how I killed all the other creatures as well. Stand outside the agro range and just stone them.

I fell down, a lot, off of the platforms. I knew the area I was standing on was larger but the way it looked, it went against my nature to "try to push my luck" by getting to the edge of it before jumping.

I couldn't get to build up all the houses, I think the most I've built were 5 houses. If there was something special happening at the end I've missed it :(..

@kyllax There is an area on the left and on the right complete the two and you will have almost enough to buy 10 house there is an event when you have 10 house, hold on tight ! For more gold you can farm the treasure room of the area on the right ! Prototype contains 2 temples, 2 boss, and one final boss. And yes the fight with normal ennemy is easy when you know the technique.

@robowarrior1982 I went to both of the areas, but not during one life time (I died).
Also, if you go the left pick up the 3 coins, go back to the village, back out again the 3 coins spawn back.
I might do that to get enough coins to fight the final boss to see what happens :smile: I'll do that a bit later and come back.

Great job on graphics, love the style. Random villagers per each game restart is a nice touch, but it seems random generator makes almost all of them the same.

Nice graphics! The style is quite original, good job! I think it is a bit hard that you die on the first hit and respawn from the village, it is quite frustrating.

Hey, fantastic game. The art is nice and I like the mood the music and soundeffects set. The gameplay is hard. I died often and fast. Jumping also didn't feel very dynamic.
But all in all it's a great submission, thank you!

@corbak yes I think I could have used a system with 3 hearts to lose before leaving the checkpoint but the game being short good it can be justified as on the old games of the 90s, but it's a little brutal I admit! @pluckers @mosaic It is true that the jump is not very well coded, I should add a little acceleration and play better with gravity it works! Thank you to all of you !

A good game with lots of content that fits the theme well. It's clear that a lot of effort has been put into the game, and the developer should be proud of their work. My only complaint is that maybe aiming the rock should be a bit easier, especially considering the importance of the mechanic in defeating enemies. Having said that, I appreciate what the developer was going for in trying to make sure the game felt unique and that the player really paid attention to the game. I also enjoyed the context of the game, and this added to its charm.

Great job on this one. The core gameplay is very satisfying and the difficulty is great. I like how the game combines platforming action with rebuilding a village, it reminds me of an old game called ActRaiser a little bit.

There's a lot of content for a small game like this and it's a great thing.

The presentation is very charming. The artstyle, the music and the llamas (those are llamas, right?) make the game relaxing to play.

Glad you like it even if I know that there are a lot of Game Design errors I would do better next time! (i'm french and google translator is my friend, sorry for mistakes ! And yes it's a lama ! it's an Inca village after all !)

You did a great job of sticking with your theme! I liked that being revived after losing your lives was accompanied by "The God Inti Protects You!" The sound effects were very appropriate for your game and the Inca village feeling definitely came through.

I would suggest maybe making it possible to attack enemies while running, because now it seems you can only do one or the other at a time. But otherwise great job on your game!

Nice! My experience came to an abrupt halt when the game seemed to break passing from the first platforming area to the second when I tried walking back the screen was still transitioning. It's a bit of a grind, I found that after finding the first checkpoint in the first platforming area you could walk back and forth between them and collect the same coins over and over. Other than this, good game.

@bigbosserndog yes it's a bug we'll say if we move too quickly from one area to another! We will say that in this case it was the god "INTI" who punished you for trying to abuse the collection of pieces in this way ^^, otherwise there are two temples to visit! and a final boss once the village rebuilt! Awesome graphics (and not event pixel art)! Music is nice as well. Controls and the difficulty can be adjusted but for a game jam game, it is quite good. Controller support was nice btw :)

The game is really nice. The graphics and the music are really well worked !! Really nice work. However, I have problems with jumps because I find them really limited. Is there a double jump?

The atmosphere and story are nice. I also liked the way you shoot but the annoying jump mechanic combined with the fact that when you really die you go back to the beginning really frustrated me

Awesome game! Even beyond being nice in every category, I was pleasantly surprised with how smooth the controls felt. You might think I'm exaggerating, but I've seen a lot of jam games over the years and controls feeling clunky is quite the norm. Not here though, and it perfected the aforementioned overall state of the game, being good in every aspect. Well done!

The graphics and the audio are good ! The idea is good too ! I had troubles with the K & L keys, like forget that K is for jump and that with L I can push AND drag.. But good job !
