Great visuals! Cool little game, fits the theme. Could be a good mobile game.

Good fit to the theme & cool ambiance! A bit hard to kill all bots during the third level, however the controls, mechanisms, and feedback are really well balanced. I  the artwork! Very solid entry, congratz! :rocket:

I love how it looks, but it seems some enemies won't die after dashing over them with no obvious reason. (might be a bug or maybe there's some variable damage but it is not obvious if there is)

really nice visuals and soud, and it fit the theme well - but the game play mechanics were just flat - at least to me - it might be because the motion with the mouse seems to limit the amount i could speed up to - anyway thanks for making the game it was pretty fun

I really liked how the game felt. The fact that you have to try to go fast (and I was also intrigued by the speedrun video) made me want to get better and it felt pretty good. Fun little game jam game. Awesome work! :)

This would work really well as a mobile game. One thing I would have liked to see is faster charge up on the dashes. Overall really impressive game, loved the graphics.

I really enjoyed the visuals on the page and menu. It feels very smooth/quality. The dynamic camera was also a nice touch.

Really nice game. Clever mechanics, yet simple to understand and use. Nicely done graphics (cool use of 2D characters in a 3D environment) and astonishing soundtrack. A very solid entry, congrats guys!

Dashes as main mechanic is something that I haven't expected but after playing I found out that it is great idea. Nice, clean graphics, good sfx that combines into really interesting game, good job man.

Very solid entry! The basic concept was good and the execution and feel of the thing was excellent!

I had a couple comments:
- Sometimes the 2d sprites would be displayed in the wrong order, so I would get funny overlaps.
![proto.png](///raw/b17/z/1a2a0.png)
- I didn't like how the camera would move as I charged up. I would position my mouse in the right spot, but the minute I held the button my path would get messed up because the camera would move around.

Those are small complaints about an excellent entry! I loved how you had a nice intro and transitions. That gives it a very complete and professional feel. Nicely done!

@minibobbo This is excellent feedback, thank you! I'll have to investigate the mouse position issue. As for the depth issues, I somehow only noticed a small problem once during the jam and my sleep deprived brain thought it was endearing and didn't investigate. Turns out, I had depth completely inverted for everything.

A lovely game! It's smooth, it's fun, it has great audio and graphics. It's also quite balanced, not easy by the end, but not unplayable. Would like to see this game get published with more levels and enemies :D

When I released and dashed and destroyed a robot shooting at me, I felt awesome! All around excellent. The first level prepared me for what to do. If you continue to develop this, in the first level I didn't understand the difference between the red box and gray box. I also didn't understand which way would be the best way to go.

I really dig the art style with the 2d sprites overlaying the 3d enviroment! good job it feels polished and fun to play, very impressive for the time frame. Congrats

Game is really well polished the graphics and audio were great. The gameplay itself I found a little slow for that sort of game having to wait before dashing was a bit tedious. Maybe having the dash be instant but there is more enemies and projectiles to dodge making the gameplay more intense and fast-paced. All that said for 72 hours the game looks and feels exceptionally polished, would be good if it was taken further.

Really polished entry. Love the simple mechanics. The 2.5 graphics look great. Sound is simple and effective. The only frustration I had was with the movement itself. The game played great first few stages but as more enemies came up I felt swamped. I felt like it took a long time to wind up the dash so it was a bit frustrating. If the dashes could be done faster (potential power up / combo / upgrade?) that would be the ticket to get me hooked. Overall great concept and very nice job on this one.

Impressive! There's a bit of a difficulty spike at the last level, but I can't count it against you because that last level is genuinely well designed and finely tuned to be exhilarating!

The thing I most wish the game had is a short visible countdown after failing the level and retrying before the input is allowed and the wall starts moving. I felt a little cheated when I discovered I could move the character before the fade-in had even finished, and therefore until that moment I had been wasting all that time at every restart.

This game was very cool. Having a mechanic with only one button which works so well is impressive! I got into a kind of flow killing robots :D and even though it was difficult I wanted to keep playing. I really enjoyed the music and aesthetics also.

DUUUUUUUDE Best entry I've seen on this Jam so far

A crazy concept, great realisation, SUPER COOL GRAPHICS (2D arts on 3D environnement = <3), great music. Everything rocked from top to bottom.

Congratulations, and I'll make sure to follow your future games with great interest.

Very impressive! This is the most "complete" and well polished game I've tried so far in LD42. It's very apparent that you have a very talented and cohesive team to pull this off!

I liked many of the small touches that showed great polish, like the subtle camera move from mouse movement at the main menu, and replacing the mouse cursor.

The game was fast paced and had a quite innovative mechanic ! I personally would have liked for the dash and the enemy attacks to be faster, as to play on the fast pace of the game. I'm also not sure what hitting the boxes do to your character.
Artwise, I really liked the combination of 2D sprites into a 3D world, with the sprites being top notch quality wise. Overall, awesome entry ! Great job !

This was hard (last level!) but very fun, I completed the game, it's quite original. The shorter the dashes the fastest you can advance, once I learned that, I became much better. The visuals, specially the main menu are incredible. The music from the game but doesn't fit much the aesthetic, the music from the end screen and main menu are my favorites. Pretty impressive game! congrats!

Great choice in mixing 2D and 3D, I think it works very well. Enjoyed the other elements of the presentation as well. Personally, I would have preferred the dashes to be faster. Also, would be cool is if you can set waypoints for dashes so you can do flanks and stuff. Great job from the team!

I really felt the intensity when the wall is approaching, frantically dashing forward to the exit. Fun game!
