Btw. many players like to play the game in the browser such that they don't have to download anything. It is possible to export Löve games to JavaScript with [Love.js](https://github.com/TannerRogalsky/love.js/). You can then host the game directly on itch.io.
To bad that I had fun.
The music was great, visuals appealing. Gamplay lacks content. You could have implemented drifting or something.
I enjoyed this! I really liked the way the tractor was controlled. I do think it could have kept my attention for longer if it had an AI opponent, or checkpoints, or _something_ to break up the seeds and stumps in between; the gameplay is pretty bare-bones as it is. (Which, granted, is to be expected when you make something in 48 hours. But still!)
But it was well-made I did like playing it for the first 30 seconds
Recommendations:
1) More max speed. I.e. less turns, and you go faster, sooner. Get me up to 20 if I got straight for 5 seconds. Or faster.
2) Power ups. Faster speed, Expand the blades, Fuel? (instead of time, set fuel)
Something feels missing. Like there are no meaningful decisions. The grain earned doesn't feel valuable.
Perhaps the grain collected gets converted to fuel at the next Corn Converter station (Level) allowing you to go farther.
Good job!
I think this game would be a lot stronger if:
- there was no way to stop accelerating
- the harvester increased its max speed over time
- there was no way to go backwards on the course
- the game ended once either side of your harvester was completely destroyed
Incidentally, the harvester can turn around fully and reverse down the course, but the camera doesn't follow it. So it seems like you had something like this in mind, just didn't implement it fully.
Either way, good work. I löve the faux-3D on the tractor. The music's repetitive, but nice enough for a LD entry. The physics are fun to play with.
