Chick - N - Die by Amunim

[raw]
made by Amunim for LD 41 (JAM)

Sorry everyone for the bugs. The idea of the game was a clean and simple funny Card x Endless Runner but it happens that we got some problems with the codding area. Thanks again everyone and maybe we will fix everything to later become a really nice game. Thomas Lessa - Artist :pensive:

Game Identity / Mantra:

Two player game in which one player has a role of runner and second is a killer. Runner has run as long as possible to score points. Killer’s objective is to kill runner. After runner dies players change places for second round (runner becomes killer and killer becomes a runner). After second place player with the best score wins.

Design Pillars:

Fast paced. Endless Runner. Card game.

Nice Idea but i couldn't get the cards to work and the screen gets white after a while. Graphics and animations are cool.

Wow, those really are barely compatible genres! The game is great fun, we love the multiplayer concept!
I could really see myself playing a fleshed out version with friends.
The stepping sound was playing all the time. Even in the menu. Is it a bug or the result of time constraints?

@beebo-studios Saddly it's because the programmers had some problems with everything. And as always, thanks for the feedback! <3

@Cadogan Are you from Poland, maybe? :D Awesome artwork. And nice idea for multiplayer, but it was kinda hard to implement in single player, I guess :D Congratz, and try to fix bugs, then it will be awesome!

the art is so cute, unfortunately I couldn't play the game, looks like you guys had trouble programming it.

Please, take a look at my game too: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/confessional

As everyone else said, music and graphics are great. Idea itself is simple but would be effective. Also, if the game was slightly slower noone would see the bugs. PS. During my first playthrough I was certain that those whiteouts meant that the program stopped responding it was a very scary experience!

Good job! Cool game! It seems a bit like our game,

I left my rating of your game, if you can leave your feedback in our game, Witch's Escape.

I like the art style, the pixel-style font is a little difficult to read though. It's a shame that font couldn't have been brought into Unity to be used for all the UI (i.e. the score) though.

I'm not sure if the white flashing on the screen was intentional or a bug but it really made it impossible to play.
