Where is turtle? by PancakeFriday

made by PancakeFriday for LD 41 (JAM)

Sadly, you awake one night only to find your cat named turtle to be missing. Well, there's only one thing you can do. Rescue her! However, you cannot help but keep on talking, which might hinder your rescue mission. You'll manage though! Good luck!

(This was supposed to be a mix between storytelling and a platformer).

This was a collaboration project from me and my girlfriend who did all of the art and level design, so kudos to her (also this is her first game she has done)!

Really liked the mechanics of the game, felt nice to play. Loved how the boxes made platforms, really nice idea! The one thing I had to get used to was the snakes, they can be quite hard to see behind the flowers at times and caught me off guard.

If anyone else has the same issue as @mrPenguin, I would love to solve it. We tried it both on linux and Windows (however, if you are on Linux, you need donwload Love2D, which is in most default repositories. You can then run love $downloadedfile.love to start the game).
Cheers

I really like this idea. Although I definitely got distracted seeing where I could get to rather than trying to save turtle.

some of the enemies were kinda small in the screen and difficult to see. First I didn't figure out that you can actually scroll the screen when invisible enemies always pushed me away from the edge of the screen. But in the end, the game looks nice.
