Runnig out of Playables by Lukesta

[raw]
made by Lukesta for LD 42 (COMPO)

Running out of Playables is a cardgame? But as you play the playground disappears and you run out of space to place your creatures.

Well this turned out to be be more complicated then expected. The game has 3 phases main/move/attack: - Main Phase: Click on the spells that you want to play(the get marked green). click next round to confirm your input. - Move Phase: Click on creatures that you want to move then cliuck again to choose the move direction. Click next round to confirm movements. - Attack Phase: Click on one of your creatures and then on a enemy creature in range to attack that creature. - You can attack the enemy with a creature by CLICKING ON THEIR HAND after selecting a creature.

Tipps: - Spells glow blue or yellow if you can play them. - Yellow spells can be played in all 3 phases, blue spells only in the main phase - A spell has a cost(upper right corner), and a speed(down left corner). Spells with higher speed values get casted first-. - Creatures have hp/dmg and movementspeed(yellow) and attackspeed(blue). Movementspeed decides move order and how far a unit moves, attackspeed decides the attack order. - You can revoke a spell by cklicking on it again before you advance to the next round.

There was some interesting stuff going on here unfortunately it was a bit slow moving and difficult to understand.
I do like that idea of phases. Maybe also when choosing blocks it would have been nice to have something that shows which ones you selected prior to the event occuring.

Friendly reminder that if you rate other games, more people will rate your game too

the tutorial isn't that much of one, and sometimes you just don't know if what you're doing is has been registered, so it's hard to understand stuff... but when you do, the gameplay is neat!
some suggestions if you continue to work on it :
- sound effects (for player feedback)
- deckbuilding
