Great idea for running out of space! I love the artwork and the weapon mechanics. I wish I could set it to fullscreen, as it was tiny on my monitor. Is there a way to do that?

@handle Thank you for playing!
The window should be resizeable, so you should be able to maximize it with your mouse. It doesnt have an actual "full screen" mode though.

This game is really fun and has good combat, The only thing I ask for is movement in the air while attacking. Really fun and gory action

Great graphics, animations, and monster designs! Also loved the sound effects. Controls were smooth if a little slow.

This game is pretty freaking great. First of all, I am in love with the fleshy, hellish aesthetic. The enemy designs are totally wild! The background audio, while minimal, does do a good job of reinforcing this theme. On top of all that, the gameplay is really well designed. Slowly building up a tower of meat is really satisfying and makes the gameplay very dynamic. Not only does this allow you to go further up, but it also lets you access areas to the side you couldn't reach before. I also like the rump up in enemies as you get further into the game. The game always felt like it was changing, never getting dull or repetitive. I also like all the different weapons you get to pick up, and how you can throw them right before they run out of durability. my only gripe with the game is how jumping could feel a bit clunky, as you lose a lot of horizontal momentum when jumping. Despite that one small gripe, this is a fantastic game. Excellent work!

You did _all this_ in 48 hours? I mean, there are some minor bugs, but holy cow, that is just a metric ton of artwork alone. I loved the variety in the weapons, though the pit fighting got crowded fast. I think fewer, more dangerous enemies might have been more interesting than a bunch of weaker ones. Even still, this is just an incredible amount of content for a single weekend. Well done!

You NAILED the feel of this game. I love the huge sprites. All of the attacks felt super weighty. The game had really good feel to it, especially with the silly-yet-somehow-really-atmospheric mouth-made sound effects :)

Some of the jumping felt a little off, and it was hard to pick up the right weapon when a few weapons were overlapping. But as a whole package, it was fun!

I survived 6 waves and killed 49 monsters before dying by jumping off the top of the screen. I thought I was supposed to get the most meat... I probably should have read the description first!

i love it.

needs a bit of difficulty balancing and tweaking jump speed but overall controls and responsiveness are top notch.

Really great and fun game, the movement of the character is a bit iffy, but that isn't that much of a problem.
I really love it :D

controls are a bit wacky, but art diversity and handmade sounds make this awesome!

Really fun game, but the controls are a bit hard for me. I think the sliding is unnecessary.

That's pretty messed up, like a bad fever dream or a day at the beach. Besides the controls needing a little tightening up, I enjoyed this. MEAT!!

I love the graphics and all the messed up monster designs in this game! The gameplay was really satisfying and the player's animations were really well done. There were a couple of quirks with the movement of you and your enemies, but that's to be expected in a game jam. Great job!

Had a bit of a hard time getting the controls, but a fun concept. I liked how powerful I felt with the giant sword :D

Absolutely adore the aesthetic of this game. Great sound design and artwork. The premise is one of my favorites - felt like trying to keep up with a game of Tetris while fighting waves of monsters. Was a little difficult and clunky to play, but overall I really liked it!

The gameplay was well done. The difficulty wasn't too overwhelming nor too easy for enjoyment. I thought it was very fun getting a huge weapon and chucking it at the enemies, and honestly just killing them in general!

You did well at incorporating the theme into your game. At first, I felt like blocks of gore were just kind of spawning everywhere; however, as I made it through more waves I really felt the area closing in! I also appreciate that you allow the players to destroy the flesh to clear room. That way, it's still fair.

The visuals, in my opinion, are really good. The tiles and background look very nice. The style of the characters seems a little inconsistent, but with that said I still like them.

I like the audio. The retro sound effects are pretty good and the background noise is somewhat unsettling and sets a mood for the game.

This is a really neat game, and it's quite addicting. I would love to see a full version of this!

Love everything about this game! The strange story and theme, the art that reminds me of simple claymation (a old cartoon the be exact, Trap Door I think it was called) that just breaths personality, the silly simple sound effects, the overcomplexity of the controls and weapon types for a game this size, even like the rather dodgy controls! it all just melts in to this strange experience that's just fun to play.

Great work!

This was a really fun idea! My only complaint was the controls felt very stiff, specifically losing all momentum when I jumped made it feel like i was getting stuck on things, but other than that it was really fun! Well done!

Except for the clunky controlls, this game has potential. It felt really great to punche everyhing you encountered. I actually got supprised when I realised i could climb up to get to the higher parts of the map, that was really well made!

A realy good proof of concept,
smart mechanic that really worked well with the theme,
besides some bugs, and placeholders, it's such a fun game!

pretty dope, just enough mechanics and weapon variety to keep it fresh. Really uses the them well. Only frustration for me is the slow movement speed, which makes it very hard to avoid being hit at all, but if that's the feeling you want then that's cool too.

The weapon and enemy variety are staggering for a compo game, hats off to the chef. And all the hits and animations feel so satisfying,.

Really love sound work and visuals, they work really well to setup hellish atmosphere. Sadly I was getting stack with weapons like spear and dagger, and it was really hard to get out from the flesh cells with such weapons. Maybe some abilities, that remove flesh around you would have been nice for such situations?

I looove the aesthetics of this and variety of enemies you put there! The only issue I had is with timing of player attacks and inability to attack at some points (during jumping/movement), enemies strike first no matter what I do :o

One of my favourites, some of the most raw fun gameplay, graphics and audio in this ludum dare.

While maybe needing a little bit of tweaking with jumping high and holding a direction, I really liked the controls and movement, it felt unqiue in a way that works with the game.

My meat offering was 4772 pounds, is that good?

Great concept, I really like how killing the bad guy's blocks you from moving around on the screen. My only bit of feedback is on the controls. I found them a bit difficult to use so I ended up losing my sword a lot or not being able to kill the bad guys easily. I think it could use a bit of extra polish on the controls and you'd have a really fun game!

Controls were a bit clunky and the graphics were opposite of polished (this actually contributes to games aesthetics) but it was really fun to play with great asthetics and mood. It's fun to throw weapons around once you get the hang of it
