Overgrown by travm

The gameplay is simple and fast paced. Your goal is to destroy all of the weeds before they destroy your flowers. The problem is - as you kill weeds, more will spawn off of the weeds you have yet to kill.
The weed growth limits your mobility by reducing the space you can move around in and it also forces you to cut paths as fast as you can so can reach flowers in order to protect them.
If a weed grows on the base of a flower, the flower will warn you that it is under attack. If that weed reaches maturity, it will kill the flower. So, you must race to flowers that are under attack and destroy those invading weeds.
To win the game, you must save as many flowers as you can, and destroy all of the weeds to prevent them from growing back. If all of the flowers die, you will lose.
Enjoy!

The artwork is just wooow, I'm impressed.
Amazing job! :)
Good job)
Definitely better with a controller. Mouse controls might make the keyboard option easier.
Great job!
Also, nice screen shake :D
Gorgeous graphics - really good audio feedback and I love the little procedural 'bong bing bng bnng' sounds of the weeds growing!
My winner strat in the end was to just figure-of-eight around two flowers and mash the attack direction keys as fast as I could forever. Murdered over 500 weeds and I had to stop because my fingers got tired 😅Would be nice if it wasn't just an relentless assault and there was some other meaningful interaction the player make with the game other than just running around and chopping?
