The Will to Live (a game about willpower) by twainwright
You find yourself stranded on a desert island, forced to fend for yourself in a harsh, unforgiving environment. Each night, a figure will tempt you with a deal: he will take you home, but in return, he will need your soul. Spend your days taking care of your needs and keep your willpower up, or else you might be forced to sign an unwanted contract.

Think I found a bit of a bug: A storm hit and blew away my level 1 shelter, but I also got the message that my fire was sheltered by the storm.
Only thing i would change, is at the start of each day, instead of needing to click through changes in every stat separately, i would like to see it combined, it's just a quality of life thing. Just put the numbers near the stats and text about what happened for that stat bellow it, or to the side like
Food : 20/25 +5 (maybe in green so it's more clear)
You found some berries last day and there are still some left
or something like that, so the player doesn't need to click through all the dialogs
All in all, a fun game. Good job
The narration got a bit long, would have liked to play more days and read less =).
Enjoyed this, good job!
- There are a lot of misspelled words
- Talking to the coconut friend doesn't take up an action, is that on purpose?
- The end of the game is a bit awkward: dying resets it, but it seems to be glitched, as the stats don't show up. And when you win, the dialogue box tells you that you were reunited with your family and then it disappears, leaving you with the stats and the image of the island with no way to progress. I guess you didn't have time to finish it up, as it's a pretty minor issue.
- I wish there were a stormy background, too ;)
- It would make the stats easier to read if you had a transparent rectangle behind them, or something.
But yeah, I think it's my favorite game of the event, so far. Good work!
A couple of comments though -- after my soul was sold, the game kindof soft-locked and I was stuck in a limbo of resetting with my old stats.
This is definitely in the top 3 games I have played for this Ludum. Very well done, keep up the great work!! :D
keep up all the good work and good luck. :)
