A Small World (how original) by lilkrit
I made a game where you're a god of a small planet. There are monuments that give you power and portals through which evil creatures come. They want to destroy your monuments, but you are powerful and can use magic to defend them. Once the monuments give you enough power, you win the game. Lose all of them and suffer defeat.
Can anyone find the easter egg? ;)
The instructions in game should be enough. I made this game alone with Unity 5, Blender, GIMP and FL Studio 12.

The graphics and concept are nice. The idea of tower defense on a curved space is very cool, and rotating the sphere was very satisfying.
- The basic lightning spell is very hard to use. The hitboxes seem a bit small, or tricky. Perhaps giving it a little splash would help, as I found myself unsure at first if it even worked. I really had to spam to hit anything.
- The UI is not really clear on what's going on. Reading the tutorial text cleared it up but it would be nice if this was made clearer in game.
Beyond that it's great! you can add more abilities and enemy types, adn I think this can be a really fun little game!
GOOD JOB :D
(try my game? https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/$18103)
I realize the game isn't balanced that well. I didn't what I could in that amount of time and if I'm going to work on it more, balancing spells etc will be the first thing I will do.
To all the people who are having problems with shooting the enemies - have you tried zooming in the camera with mouse wheel?
Also a big question... who found the Easter Egg? ;)
And if you could check out my game I would really appreciate it!
From an enjoyment standpoint, I liked playing. I could easily see this becoming a more feature-complete game with some more work. Gameplay-wise, you do need to balance it a bit better. Mana recharge is really fast which is cool, but given how long the 3rd spell lasts, it's super easy to just have all 3 towers constantly defend themselves with the occasional 2nd spell thrown in. You could also perhaps make the 1st spell consume less mana as well to make it more viable against the 3rd spell.
The graphics are relatively straightforward but could use a bit of polish to make them shine. Most notably the UI could use custom panels/fonts and the spell icons could look a bit cleaner (perhaps thicken the stroke on them a bit to help them stand out too). The ruins are a nice touch, but there could be some more detail models here and there to help set the mood. Also if the enemies were actual characters, that would be pretty cool.
The audio is nice in the sense that it's unobtrusive and clean, however it would be nice if the enemies made some kind of movement and attack sounds so you know where they are (I had no idea when there were ones on the other side of the planet). Additionally, UI sounds would add a bit more polished feel to the game. On top of that, the music was pretty quiet, you could probably turn it up a bit more.
Overall, a very decent start IMO.
Also, clicking on enemies with the lightning bolt seemed to be random as to whether or not you'd hit them.
Not a big fan of the power-orb mechanic. I'd rather see a few planned out levels with perhaps an end boss. And the mana was uncessesary, I NEVER ran out of mana and I was never in any threatening position.
Apart from a few balancing issues the game was fun, well done!
There are instructions in the "tutorial" section. To most complaints the answer is simple: time limit:P
Balancing the game and endless mode were on my list but sadly didn't make it. If I will work on the game after the competition, I will start with those (and apparently people are interested so why not?)
Seriously, I was thinking about almost every idea you mentioned. Endless mode, upgrade spells etc... But the idea itself was a bit new to me and I just didn't have the time to implement all. Thanks to everyone.
PS. Still no one found the easter egg?
