Operation Lambda

My First Ludum Dare Entry

Your power systems are out of alignment, you must realign them before it's too late! Use the mirrors to align the laser power to the input port.

Nice puzzling design to provide entertainment. Graphics and sound were nothing to shout home about, but were good enough to support the idea and gameplay. Good overall but could do with being a bit longer, good job though and best of luck!

Fun little puzzle game... some levels are perfectly challenging. I liked the squish sound effect when you die.

Hey, congratulations on your first entry!

I think you did a very good job on the gameplay. Level design was on the spot, though it would probably be better if you made a few easier levels so the player can learn first. The aesthetic is a bit lacking, but this is kind of a regular thing on LD compo hehe

Congrats!

Cool little puzzle game. I was confused at first with the movement, because it wasn't immediately obvious, at least to me, that i was moving along a grid. It just felt kind of janky until I realized what was going on, but it was completely fine after that realization. A floor graphic that better corresponds to the grid that you move along would help. Had fun overall. I wish there were more levels :)

A nice and short game. The puzzles were enjoyable, and i had fun the whole way through. A few more levels would've been nice.

Overall a good entry.
I was a bit confused with the movement because I always wanted to face the mirror I wanted to rotate and ended up moving it because the character doesn't just turn on the first press of a direction, it immediately moves.

Congratulations for your first entry! It would be a nice thing to see some more creative features added to this game in the future! I had a good experience overall, only thing that bugged me a little was the fact that you can't just rotate, only move, which can cause the player to push the mirror without wanting to

I love laser games so this is right in my wheelhouse.

There are definitely some rough bits (the lasers don't track mirrors as they move, you start back at level 1 if you die), but my main complaint is there are no more mechanics and too few levels. Where's the rest of the game?

Very cool gameplay, usually these kind of games are just about resolving the puzzle but you added risks by making the player moving and rotating the laser itself so it's quite good!

The level design is nice, graphics and audio too!

I enjoyed playing it!!

Strong design on the puzzles, found them quite tricky. Great work!

I like this one. The core mechanic here is interesting and the puzzles are fun and engaging. I especially liked how I needed to position myself carefully to avoid gibbing myself with the lasers. I did, however, find myself wishing for the ability to turn in place instead of always facing the direction of movement. I didn't really feel like I was under pressure to not run out of power - perhaps a timer would have done that job. Also, the life counter/back to start on gameover thing seemed like a really odd choice for a puzzle game. I think the more conventional unlimited retries / r to restart setup would work better here. That said, the clean aesthetics and solid puzzle design make this a worthwhile experience. Well done!

Fun puzzles not to hard not to easy, you really had to think before pushing anything or instadeath. I would have like that you only start pushing once you face the mirror though. Now often i pushed a mirror while just trying to turn around. All by all a strong submission

Good puzzle entry! It reminds me the LaserTank game. Not sure, but I think that hero could be invulnerable - it is hard enough without it :)

Really fun little puzzler! Made me think of Khet 2.0. I liked that even though the movement and rotation were the only gameplay moves, there were a lot of interesting ways to use them to avoid turning it into yourself or getting stuck. I agree that having to start over in a puzzle game is a bit different and was a little annoying having to go back through the levels I had already solved to get back to the one I was working on. Good work!

Wow, that reminded me of that minigame from Resident Evil 5, one of my fav games, heh. Well implemented!
Good job!
