I love the distortion effect as you get further and further down! I think one thing that was really frustrating was that you couldn't jump while in the air, which made it really difficult to jump while you're sliding down the very slanted edges (because unless you were perfectly still you'd just tumble down and not be able to jump).

I liked how you explained away the moles respawning by them having "really good climbining shoes" ! Really gives the world some character and believability :)

Very fun! Would be cool to have a meter to know how much rocket fuel you have. Great idea!

This was really nice!

So fun to play a complete, bug-free game.

The mole people are so cute when they wave!

Cute little adventure/exploring game. I love the art and animation of both the owl and moles, and love the fact you placed a lot of checkpoints around the map. (really helps with the playability!) And I also enjoyed the surprise jetpack! I was just about to complain about the missed opportunity of the owl not flying, but jetpack is definitely the way to go for adventure owl. I think there's some polishing work that would make the game even better (e.g. falling death wasn't super clear/sharp edges for tunnel edges) But I can't wait to see where the adventure takes our owl friend to in the future! Great work!

Fun and small game, I finish it, once you get the jetpack the game becomes pretty easy. Jumping on slopes its a little weird on the beginning. Cute graphics and the screen effect when you get close to the center is pretty cool.

Nice work ! Clever distortion effect indeed. I could totally imagine this owl traveling the galaxy and have other short adventures. Bravo !

The graphics are nice and the music great even. I enjoyed the progression too. It seemed impossible at first, but there was a nice little surprise down in the caves!

A few complaints: The WebGL version is rather sluggish, a bit of optimization would do it good. The owl itself doesn't quite look like an owl to me. More of a hawk with that beak... Have a reference :owl:

Other than that, good work!

The moles and the owl are awesome! I wish there would be more levels, like the ship could take you to another planet ;)

Great little game. The character design made me laugh, as did the premise and the owl's cooperation with its food because of its predicament. Also had a nice sense of progress and had me backtracking a few times to really explore a lot and check things out. Definitely one I'll remember.

5/5 in every category!
At first, it seemed like yet another "crash landed on a small planet, gotta collect ship pieces", but then I understood the concept at play and man...what a unique twist! loved it! Also, very well executed! Congratulations!

Adventure Owl is the most compelling video game protagonist that I can recall playing.

This is too damn cute.
I loved it! It definitely needs some puzzles or actual obstacles, but it's so cute I can't hate it ♥

Please, if you have some time, play and rate our game: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/tomorrow-or-when-the-world-is-not-bigger-than-a-house

That was fun. Gameplay-wise it was a bit flat but the overall mood was really fun.I really had fun playing it. I'd like to see more adventures of the Adventure Owl.

Nice finished game! I didn't expect that owl-mole themed game, but it worked fine! =D . The distortion effecto to make it more worldish is really original!
