In Darklings, you play as Lilith, a hell spawn who wants to escape the inferno. But it can't be that easy... The floor crumbles under your feet and rocks are in the way. You could swear they weren't here before, it looks like someone is trying to keep you here.

@team-on Thank you for taking the time to play the game! I was told that it doesn't all fit on smaller resolutions but was unable to fix it before the submission deadline.

@earnso @ghen Thanks for playing guys! I'm glad you liked the style, as a programmer it took quite a bit of work!

@sozey I can relate so well to that. Designing and making sure everything fits together is hard when your mind works logically as a programmer.

Visually impressive, what a great atmosphere! The music was very nice too. Great job!

The gameplay was nice although very classic. It could have been more challenging too.

@quetzakol Thank you a lot for playing and leaving a bit of feedback! I agree that it wasn't anything too out of the ordinary, it's more meant to be a relaxing little puzzle game.

It looks and sounds amazing ! The gameplay is pretty cool too, although puzzles were a bit too obvious in my opinion. I think adding several possible paths / scenarios could make the game more engaging. But this is an amazing entry !

@talios Thank you for trying my game! It's true that they were very simple, I wish I had more time to work on level design. I might do it once the jam is over!

Loved the art style! I've already seen a few games with the falling platform mechanics (even mine is like that :D) But the approach to the puzzle is always different. Great entry!

Absolutely love the graphics and aesthetic of this game, and while the puzzles aren't very hard it was still a joy to play!

@missalpha @akros @starven Thank you so much for playing my game! I'm really glad you enjoyed it. As for the number of levels and the difficulty, I would like to develop the game a bit more after the jam and add more levels as well as making them increasingly difficult.

@madrededios Thank you a lot for your words of encouragement! I hope to continue working on the game.

@fizzpowmike1 Thank you for your feedback, I also wish I had a tutorial level to explain the mechanics and explain a bit of story.

As for me there are few levels, and they are rather simple. But beautiful graphics and nice music. I think you should just go ahead

Nice game, very well executed. The overall mood and polish is really good. I think the length of the game is good for a jam game, I wish it was a bit more difficult though. Sometimes I got a bug where the character would stand on nothing after pushing a block, but this wasn't game breaking. But overall it's a really solid entry.

@walnoot Thanks for playing it and for your constructive feedback! I'm looking into making more difficult levels as I continue developping it after the jam.

The feels, ohhh the feels.... the graphics where pleasing to look at and cohesive. the music was pleasant but eerie, matching the graphical style. And the little messages made you think there was more going on, really drew you into the world. ohhh, and the game play, lets not forget the game play, it worked, challenged me but not so much so that I got frustrated.. after completing the game i did think maybe that was a bit too easy, but for a quick demo, it got my feet wet and wanting to go deeper.

The blue dots really caught my attention and made me wonder what was happening over by that "special" block, so of course I explored over and discovered something new, a moving block.

I did feel that player movement could benefit from some tweaks, initial movement upon pressing the directional key was fine, but the arrival felt like it took forever. There were many times I would anticipate the arrival and try to enter my next move, only to have it ignored and needing to repress. Felt like a lerp, initially fast but slowing with every update. The slow movement kind of matched the mood, but i would have liked it to be a more consistent speed ,maybe with just the final moments slowed for arrival.

Anywho, nice game, well polished, fun.
