Still have the music stuck in my mind though x)
Nice and polished game!
very cool graphics and idea.
Graphics and music were minimalistic, but got the job done.
I have nothing else to say the game great !
Great entry!
My only gripe is that the objects are all very small in relation to everything else e.g. the balloon and health UI - it took a bit of focusing to play and my eyes felt a bit of strain afterwards. (I was playing fullscreen.) A few small adjustments and it's golden. Great work!
Games are you recommended is very good
I really appreciated the small details like being able to customize your character's color, the soft lights streaming from the top left corner of the screen and the way the trees moved around !
The gameplay was a wee bit confusing and I had trouble throwing things away at times, but other than that this is a solid game jam entry :) Keep it up !
@akusan I don't have an html build because gamejolt and unity web don't seem to be working properly together...

This was a rather interesting puzzle of priorities, with a simple yet snappy sense of humor and some sort of logical explanation to each decision. While some aspects of the gameplay were a bit confusing to begin with, at the second round, I caught on the mechanics, and it became quite a fun experience. For something done in 48 hours, this is rather impressive.
Since this game was to the point and works as a short experience, I don't really think of anything to add to make it better. But if you do expand it, you can add some polish, like timers. Those could have been useful.
Anyhow, great job. [My team](discord.whalesandgames.com) sends you salutations and hope to see more projects like this in the coming jams. All round, this was a memorable experience. Cheers! :whale:
There is one thing I'm not a fan of tho is that you can't do anything when you don't have to throw something away. I feel like it breaks the flow of the game, you are playing and then you have to stop playing, and then play again. I think being able to move items around and prepare an item to throw would feel way better.
@tekses Cool, thanks for the feedback :D
Ok, let's get to what I liked the most
- I liked the idea itself. Tossing things away, hoping Archibald doesn't mind that much about the pokeball you just sacrificed (hopefully it was empty!).
- The description lines were well put out and were ambiguous enough to remain interesting for the whole playthrough.
- I like the way you showed 'our health points'. It's simple to implement, it's easy to understand as a player and it is uncommon! I just wouldn't refer to them as clouds on the tutorial, I think it should be Icons.
Biggest problems for me:
- It gets repetitive quite quickly (most games do, anyway!);
- I started enjoying the music, but 15 seconds after I was tired of it already lol;
- When I played, I though there was an end to the game, maybe this is what made it feel more repetitive. I wanted to get to the end of it because I was hoping for some conclusion. I made it to 19 items.
- The animations of the trees... they kinda made me a bit dizzy!
Congrats again!
