I like the game it is very polished and feels good. The fighting feels a little weird and I do not get how it related to the theme, but I wish I could make such a nice game is such a short time.

Just finished this game in a breeze, and i loved it! i was wondering where does this game fits the theme, and bam, that twist happens, love the artstyle, and the animations feel fluid and responsive, top notch!, if i have to be nitpicky and criticize something of this amazing little game is the collision system: it happens often to "clip" on a side of a platform, however, very very solid entry, cute and creepy, kudos to all of you :D

Fantastic graphics guys. Really cool game, I like the contrast between the cute stuff and the really creepy.

Art is beautiful and I like the ending. Though I kept getting caught on geometry.

WOW! Just wow!

Fatal nightmare is an awesome game where you play as a little girl stuck in a nightmare, where you battle monsters with a samurai sword. This is definitely the most clever and innovative game I have played in LD40.

The theme is AMAZING. I LOVE the dark and twisted theme that you chose to go with and even then the art on its own is INCREDIBLE. The gameplay itself feels pretty good as well, except some minor weirdness (for example, standing on monsters), but the plot-twist at the end is what seals the deal for me.

I would personally love to play a full-length hack ‘n slash platformer game in this dark and weird setting, and I bet others would too. Good job!

This is visually stunning, and I love the enemy design! Movement is a little clunky, but it doesn't really need to be super-precise. The twist ending is great, too.

Great art style and atmosphere. I wonder how does phaser handle bone-based animation, it looks so smooth here.
The last fight was intense, but I found a small exploit I guess, here is my playthrough:

Very good game! I loved it! Now I am regretting getting all those stuff! I like how the game is designed to take the core mechanic of platformers and turns it against the player! The art is super! Also, In the end level you can just run past all the enemies instead of killing them! Did you guys do the voice acting yourself as well? Very well done!

This is a very fun game! I especially loved the graphics and the controls, it feels very smooth and on point, very pleasing to play. I did not get where you were leading until the end and the pun was there, I can tell you. However, it felt to me the point in collecting things around is not satisfied on its own it could probably defeat the purpose; I might be missing something though.
Besides, the game is a great fun, I will probably show it to my gf later :D

I really like the artwork and animation! Especially the multocular and multihanded guys. You did a great job (:
Она в чем-то пугающая, но в целом(возможно из-за медленного компьютера) получилась расслабляющая (: Невероятно классно вышло, я тут почти не видела настолько готовых игр (:

I really dig the art and style of the game. The gameplay sometimes feels a bit weird but overall I enjoyed it. Congratulations on your entry! :)

The graphics are amazing and the animation quality is very good.

The controls are OK, but not the best. The player character feels float-y and slow and the weapon feels very unwieldy. Perhaps faster attacks and animations with the sword?
I think some faster movement and stronger gravity would also go along fairly well.

The music is very good, but the erie tunes from the first two dreams started getting on my nerves so I stopped.

It would be nice to understand what it is that we are collecting. The shoes, money and perfume make no sense, because it doesn't seem like I can use them and no information is offered about them, at least not in the beginning of the game.

I also found out that if you run away from the first overgrown spider, it gets stuck on a platform and once that happens the player can never get on top of it, because the monster keeps attacking at that precise time. check the screenshot for the platform in question.

Cool final boss animation and artwork, really like that part.

Enemy art looks realkly good and how it changes when they are damaged is nice feedback for the player.

Destroying the UI at the end was an interesting change.

Good work.

@andreas-ragen-ayal thank you for feedback! Collected items need for ending, and theme is revealed at the end of the game.

There are some gaps in storytelling and level design, maybe combat with katana was not great idea. Anyway it's nice audiovisual experience with original approach.

Please don't use keys like "Y/Z", they are language specific.

Aah, I see. I didn't make it to the end, because I didn't understand why I was collecting stuff. In the two levels I played, I didn't notice any health pickups. I think they might be useful.

Great graphics! Smooth Control! Well made audio and awesome animation. Great output for 3 days. The gameplay did not catch me that much.
