The window firewalls are coming for you. by Necromantic
Preamble:
This is my first Ludum Dare and I really only had a few hours on Sunday and Monday to work on the idea, concept and implementation and I basically created this account 30 minutes before the end of the jam. I spent approximately six hours on it from scratch. So this is more of a proof of concept and just playing around with my twist on the theme.
Don't expect any real balancing or number tweaking. I could have probably for the Compo but since I didn't have much time especially on the early days that didn't work out and I opted to use some external graphics for Sprites and fire Particle Effects.
Even it it's not the most detailed of games I'd welcome feedback on my take on the theme.
Game:
You are a small space key. The world around you is burning. Other keys are panicking and pushing you around. Try to survive by moving horizontally with the W and D keys. Gravity is working against you but you can use your powers to float upwards by pressing the space key. Using your powers consumes space. Bump into your big brothers for them to give you a space boost."
My take on the theme:
Basically my twist on the theme is using space bars and it's not just the game area around you that's shrinking or getting crowded but the actual game window is shrinking while the content stays the same size.
Play now:
WebGL based browser version can be played here: http://www.binaryfeast.com/LD42ROOS
Required some extra tweaking to get it working properly in browsers.

Well my boss fight, keep it up
Good luck🍀
@3ncryp73d You can already move semi-freely on the horizontal axis with A and D. The arrows are really just pushing you towards the fire walls.
Thanks for the feedback!
