The space is getting pretty crowded. Can you find the door to run away (like a coward)? Or will you destroy everything to have enough space (50000 units to be exact) for yourself? (it's not worth it i swear please dont do it)

The further you go the more excited you get, so step it up (that's what the legs are for)! And watch out for those black holes, they're quite scary when it gets crowdy.

Never finished a "full" videogame before, so here it is. Also I'm still bad at gifs.

Very hectic when you are closing to getting in, took me a few tries. I also appreciate the humor.

it's quite challenging, feels good to open the door after few misses. Good music too

A very literal take on the theme. The core gameplay is rather simple, but the "assemble a door" mechanic is quite fun. Overall, while the game may not be very innovative, the sense of humour and quality of execution make for a really fun way to spend a couple minutes on.

@evanm @suve yeah, when I saw the theme during the voting my very first idea was a literal space shoot-em-up where you have less and less screen space over time. Didn't want to do anything too crazy for my first jam.

Fun, and cool idea. A bit too easy

very fast paced and fun! I found that I could just stand in one place and shoot for a long time. I lasted 2 mins like this

I really liked it, though I kinda felt it was bit short. I had a great playtime, still.

nicely done !, nice space shoot 'em up game, the control feels nice while shooting with space for me a bit awkward at first, i love the graphics its consistent all the way

Yes, I agree with comments, Very fun to play and love the idea. I wanted to retry over and over. Which is my only negative, my high score was not persisted between plays, use PlayerPrefs or something simple. I so wanted to beat my high score cause it was a lot of fun.

@jay-elbourne actually the high score only saves when you exit through the door, and not when you die. Guess a bad design choice on my side

Very nice! The shooting felt really good! I noticed that if you didn't move at all and just held the shoot button down you could get pretty far if the black holes didn't spawn in front of you. However, once the game started to speed up I had to move again, so my strategy didn't last for very long! Congrats on your first full videogame too, good job!

Really nice! I found it challenging to build up the door and then it took me a minute to figure out what to do when I had :face_palm: Great work!

This is great for a first complete game! You bit off a very manageable amount of scope, and polished it up nicely! The shooting feels satisfying, and the art and sound are great. Very nice job!

14175 high score! But that was before I read the comments to figure out that the door did... lol. It's a little insanely fast so I couldn't focus on the door.

But yeah, the little legs and the door mechanic in general are hilarious!
