Nice work, Reminds me of don't starve.
I manged to escape from the light in 1 round, but then wasn't able to the other.
I think some more instruction on how the fires are kept alight would be useful, so rocks build a new fire and wood sustains them? I wasn't quiet sure.
Could see this concept expanded with more resources and enemies and it could be really fun.

We rushed it a bit for time reason... Yes, with stones you create a new fire while wood sustains it. Just by getting close to the fire you feed it using wood

I love the spooky nature and art-- also good job on capturing the feeling of Dont Starve! :)

Sweet artstyle and lighting, really captures this haunting, creepy atmosphere. For me, I guess it was a bit on the challenging side, because at one point the monster blocked ny route to the resources while simultaneously ramming into the fire. Arrgh! I should try one more time :3

Good little game!
Godot is awesome :sunglasses:

The first black screen is pretty much useless, thou. I thought the game was loading, but you just have to click anywhere.

The art and music remind me a lot of the old salad fingers flash animations which really hit a great creepy tone for the game. The monsters with their long fleshy legs were excellent and made creepy noises. The slow dissonant piano plinking alongside the crackling of the fire serve as a dark background to the game's design.

The gameplay is serviceable and definitely fits the theme. I feel like more could have been done with darkness and sound design/animation of the monsters to add more to the fear factor the rest of the atmosphere provides.

Overall, I think the game is definitely worth checking out. It has pretty unique gameplay and very impactful art and sound design.

I liked the music and atmosphere, but it was difficult to get how to feed fire, because I was dying just near it and flammables just didnt appeared

Very good game with very striking mood! I liked the graphics and the fire effects. The game mechanic was a bit monotonous but fun for a while. When I started clustering fires because I'm incapable the game started lagging a bit, so next time maybe spend a few minutes on optimizing/finetuning those effects.

May I recommend adding more description other than "survive the night" like the controls and how to defend oneself. I died too quickly because I was clueless on how to do anything. lol I would also pull the camera back some more. It felt too close to release see anything. Since I cannot walk outside the ring of fire, I would have the camera zoom out to show the full ring and zoom in as the ring shrinks. This helps me with both understanding how much "space" I have and seeing what's immediately available to me putting a limit of course on how much it zooms out but I think it would add something extra to the mood.

I do agree, it has a good mood/feel to it and the poor avatar looks terrified of the dark. Nicely done

In the beginning a log and a stone spawn programmatically, I tried and preparing in a central position always ensure to feed the fire the first time. Sorry is this is too subtle.
And yes @prodigalson camera movement would have improved is, I will take it into consideration next time, thanks!

The art style and the music work well together to set a nice eerie tone for the game. I think this could be enhanced if you could make the area darker when it's outside the radius of the fire. I also encountered unusual behavior when the character managed to walk past the ring, and I completely lost control of the character's movement as it started speeding along in random directions.

Great mood and atmosphere, I know a lot of others have mentioned "Don't Starve", and I thought the same thing. The music fit the spooky theme REALLY well! Awesome job!

@cbdevilla thanks for the bug report! We've tried to fix it before delivery but I still have no clue why that happens and is not so frequent. With more time available we could have delivered a more polished product
