Interesting game!
I played it twice, taking two different finals (saved and killed).
I'm interested in what's going on in this creepy "cute Village" :)

A fun little game - for such an cute village, the villagers sure are creepy...

A possible bug: When a villager is near the edge of the screen, some of their dialogue is obstructed by the screen edge.

I liked the graphics - they are quite cute, and the eyes are nicely eerie.

If you make a post-LD version, I would suggest adding enough conversations so that every villager has his/her own dialogue. Although in a sense, having different people ask the exact same questions did make them feel a bit more spooky.

Having your earlier conversations decide the ending, depending on whether you took the time to befriend the villagers, was a nice touch.

I found the game entertaining, although it felt a bit short :-)

Hah, that was a pretty funny ending. I got killed by them. Fun game, I like the idea of trying to find out who nicholas was, that would be an interesting area to expand the game if you ever decide to. Good job!

If you like, please take a look at the game my team made for the jam, you can find a link to it on my profile

Very original idea, I like the concept of interacting with players and their creepy things. I would suggest to let the player skip the automatic text somehow, maybe clicking on the screen ot something, once you know all the text it's a bit annoying to read it again and again, just as an improvement. I agree that maybe different dialogs would be nice, I understand the time constraint problem, maybe for an extended version. Was a nice idea!

The game has an intriguing creepy story. I would like to see it to be expanded to a full game with a complete story behind this cutest village.

The kids kept quizzing me on which flowers were selling in the shop, not sure if something was supposed to happen when you answer correctly. A strange little game... the art was pretty good though.

Interesting take on the theme! I wish there was more variation to the dialogue, almost gave up playing this because people get saying same things over and over again. Art style is fittingly cute. Maybe change the dialogue option boxes background color something different than ground color. They get bit lost. Overall interesting game, good job!

I would have like to find something special. But anyway nice game, with good graphics. Sometimes I couldn't read the dialogs because they were cut of by the end of the screen

Gives me huge vibes from a film called Hot Fuzz (which isn't a bad thing at all.) It was eerily creepy with them being super cute but hiding a dark sinister plot behind it. Really liked the style and over all it was well done. Which wish the text was a bit more easier to read and wouldn't go off the edge, over all great stuff! :D

I would definitely vote this village as the cutest in the next elections. I really loved the art and the music, it all had this really fun, cute and whimsical style! It also seemed as if this village had a terrible secret, which made me intrigued, I would love to see what's the lore behind this seemingly cute and happy village. Maybe some kind of eugenics, or they just throw the uncute babies in river. The guy in the sealed of house made me think lots of scenarios :P In any case, it was a really interesting and nice little game, good job! :D

Really good! I first thought i would find something by pissing everyone off, so it didn't end well! Cool twist and interesting gameplay!
(Check out my game if you have time, need a vote or two to qualify)

Interesting exploration game. I like the Idea and the challenge to keep track of who you talked to already.
I only wish the text talk speed was faster, because I am a impatient person :D

Ahh I love cute things hiding horrifying secrets. I got a cute Hot Fuzz vibe (personally) from this which I super dig.

I liked eliciting different reactions from the creepy townfolk, then finally noticing I could click the 'Don't Knock' door. That was good stick-out moment for me. Wonderful work on the art, they're cute but definately have this vacant, evil-behind-the-eyes look to them.

I think a bubble or something for the text would be good just to make the text a little clearer to read. And perhaps have a scroll a little faster or have a click-through button would be handy, for us fast readers out there.

Lovely idea I enjoyed playing this. :D

I Played this on Livestream today: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3YtyZ8Rudok

I left more comments in the video, but I wish the text would have scrolled a bit faster, and the interactions could have been a little clearer. I think the unfolding could have been done a bit faster, or perhaps more guidance given to the player. I was a bit sad when I pissed off everyone and nothing happened.

Great job setting the mood of the game, great graphics. I wish I could have seen more of it.
