Days 'til Darkness by Bryparsons

[raw]
made by Bryparsons for LD 42 (JAM)

So this game is lacking in the fun department. I ran out of time to do the features I think were kinda core and I should have focused on them earlier! It's my first ludum dare, and I've only recently started playing with Unity, so this is essentially a practice and learn attempt from me. I had fun!

The concept I had for the theme was for a universe that is shrinking due to some great event. It's called the Darkness, and all the planets that are caught by it are gone forever. So, literally, the universe is running out of space.

You are some kind of divine/celestial being. You choose some people on these planets to be your Heralds. They'll try to build a Vessel to escape the Darkness over 300 days. Along the way you can smite the planet if they're panicking or rioting, or you can influence them to follow your Herald.

It's not very clear in game :stuckouttongue:

I don't know if the art is made by you (since i can't rate graphics) but it's fantastic. Also the fact you created a little story for each character is amazing. Since the music and ambience are so peaceful, I spend some time reading their stories. It's a pity you couldn't finish it, since lacks of progression.

This game has a lot of potential. I was very exited to see how my actions affect the planet's futures. Game would have benefited from visual cues on how the player impacts the planet stats. I hope you develop it further!
