Save Your Soul! by wardetta

[raw]
made by wardetta for LD 44 (JAM)

My submission to the Ludum Dare Game Jam 44. Each time i dont feel ready to join the jam but this time i was doing it no matter what!! Although i did join late but i had this idea that i wanted to make and show you guys, hopefully you like and enjoy it :D The game is simple and reflects the Theme, you are a human surrounded by zombies and there is a safe place you should go to that zombies cant reach. So its like a zombie puzzle game. In order to go to that safe spot you need to run away from zombies by throwing body parts as a decoy to run away until you figure out the hide spot. You should read the Rules before playing since i wanted to add more logic to it by not allowing you to do certain things if you cut the wrong body parts(ex:- no legs, no jump, etc..)

It was an amazing experience to join the Ludum Dare! Thanks :)ss3.PNG

Even with jumping I couldn't find a way out of level 2 and zombies seemed to phase through the wall at me too.

Still a good take on the theme though.

There is an issue on level 3 where the zombies phase through the wall at the top right near the floating balls

Thanks for checking the game out and give feedback <3
There would be indeed some bugs since i did not do enough testing but i would assure you they will be fixed if more people liked it and would definitly turn it into a real puzzle more polished and amazing game just for you guys <3 <3 thanks again for sharing the feedback! goodluck :)

I liked a lot the idea of using body parts as HPs and the penalties caused by using them as decoys

The game was interesting, jumping felt a little clunky because you would stick to walls and get stuck. Overall it was a good job for your first Ludum Dare!

I couldn't figure out level 3. I liked using the body parts as a decoy. That certainly fits the theme, and it's pretty original.

@pincushion Glad you liked it!, yea i did not test difficulty enough to at least guide the player through or give hints so guess its my fault after all very low testing, but in order to pass it you just need to go to the end you will find some blocks to jump over them until you reach up, so u need both legs, you can sacrifice both your hands, sry if i disappointed you but i learnt my lesson, but i wish you go through it again for level 5 , its quite interesting :D :D

I played this on stream, the idea is nice and original, the execution could have been done well even with just a couple of touches, first of all the camera angle that is very confusing as first, a thing that i want to point out is that the game gets more intresting in the last level, sadly is the only level where you actually can exploit well the game mechanics, so my advice is to look at the last level and try to make the other levels more like that, i'm sure that you will improve overtime :D

@andreadbx hello there! i definitely learnt a lot from this jam , its my first i have been developing for 2 years but i did not know jams were fun so i entered this with just 5 hours of work could have done way better :( , i regret it myself now tbh, the idea was worth the work but i was lazy and did not really work hard on it, so maybe next jam wont disappoint, shouldnt have done 5 lazy levels, but thanks so much for playing it on the stream sadly my net went BOOM and couldnt follow :D :D

Interesting concept. Very original, and it fits the theme. Music was a little odd. Overall alright.

Pretty original idea and an interesting take on the theme. Great work with the 3d modeling. I found the isometric view kinda confusing, like it was hard to tell exactly where the walls are and how tall they are. If it was properly 3d it may have worked better.

Definitely an interesting approach at the theme

Great concept and fun to play! It feels that scenes need a bit more light in them. And the haunting music is a bit too haunting for me.

Funny fun game xD, found it very interesting to use your body parts as decoy for the zombies! Good job!
