Darkest Shade Of Night by Bartosz
Trailer here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dFINYS0OUx0
Once a thousand years under the sands of the desert, ancient demons are awakened... They show themselves in the form of huge worms with many, many teeth... They are ready to devour everything they find in their path... Whole villages have been destroyed by them in the past...
Those demons are not afraid of almost anything but light...
You have been sent to protect members of your civilization.... Bring them fire and do not let the legacy of your ancestors be forgotten...
However, watch out... You RUN OUT OF safe SPACE for running, so be careful not spend all your planks right away... And avoid standing on the sand... One wrong step, and you'll be dead... Just like everyone who counts on you.
Hints
- Stay out of the sand!
- Carry oil for lamps to to villages as light keeps them alive
- Monster worms are destroying your planks, so run as fast as you can because you 'RUNNING OUT OF SPACE' to get safely to villages!
- Be sure to hold for 10 minutes to win the game and see extra credits at the end!
- You can find some easter eggs on the map - so keep your eyes open and feel free to explore!![map.JPG]
This map may help some of you to find yourself in our world :)

bugfixed version includes - worm now show-up when killing player (previously player died but annimation didn't start) - planks show-up as destroyed and animation of worm eating them is starting now - timer is now stopping at 00:00 instead of going to negative values after time has passed - there were some excessive planks on the map - removed - credits were removed when player died - we show "you died" message instead (credits are available only after winning) - some planks were broken and could not be picked up

We are working on improving the game, soon we will release an update
Finally, even tho its a good idea, I think that the game is not completely relatable to the theme, even tho a understand what direction you want it to take.
A game like yours, with the atmosphere you have created makes me want to explore the world. Not run back and forth between 2-3 points. That's my x-cents. Overall great job. Also rest in peace YamiFive!
- Terror music comes and goes in a snap, mood would greatly benefit from sound fadein fadeout.
- Didn't see any worm, would be great to be eaten by one like in the gif when you die if you made that.
- I played 5 times but didn't manage to find a second oil can. It would be cool if you spawned a second one, maybe random, or maybe at the right side, taking care of everyone felt unfeasable.
- Is the red ball supposed to be drawn on screen? is it usable? does it make a difference to point in a direction? If so I could use more visual feedback as I couldn't figure out its use.
Overall a pretty solid entry, congrats!
Those builds were not tested though so if you find some issues with those versions - please let us know!
This is just my opinion, I recommend giving the game a try for yourself.
After minute or 2 you wold realize that you are running out of wooden planks
it was mentioned in the description and every time when plank is destroyed
I't makes you to think a little bit about strategy, because monster worms are destroing those planks and your path as you play!
Just an idea, I did enjoy playing it!
I simply think you should've made music transitions instead of doing a volume settings menu :p
The controllers was a lite bit funky and somethimes the object wasn't clear.
Music was good, but the worm-attack soundtrack cut of a little bit too harsh.
I liked the game a lot and loved the feeling and mood. Very nice atmosphere, and it was kind of an unique concept.

The audio is nice, I just think the 'demon' music could use a bit of fading, as it currently enables/disable a bit too often for me. The village dying sound also jumpscared the heck out of me with it's volume ^^'
Gameplay wise, the game is pretty simple to understand and is fun to play once you get in the mood. However, the mood killer for me was that I was able to completely cheese the worm by jumping over and over, not using any planks.
Other than a couple hiccups, the game is amazing ! Good job !
