Being stuck inside a computer is a unique theme that I found well-represented in the art and music. The gameplay would be repetitive if the game was much longer, so I found the length to be perfect. Even so, a few extra mechanics would be interesting: for example, have the enemies come from both sides of the screen and use two different buttons to attack on either side.

I agree. With such a short window I couldn't get fancy with the combat mechanics. My main idea was something you could play with just the mouse.

What I was implementing before the time ran out was an attack hold combo where you attack and hold to unleash a charge attack jumping forward. However, I managed to just add a combo feature to keep the game engaging until its it's over.

Overall I enjoyed the theme challenge this dare and the final product is playable with a story behind it.

Graphics and idea are simple and fun, a little bit repetitive. Polish more and You can make a good little mobile game with that ! (Remember to rename the game name in game maker and select single excutable for export).

This was a true challenge, because the concept is very prone to the jam doom: Scope Error (the game in your mind is too big for the time you have to develop)
You managed to fit the essential components and a fun gameplay, also very theme fitting.

Pretty impressive work and nice polish for a compo entry.

Good work man!

This is a little bit repetitive, but still an amazing game. Loved it man. Maybe, if you want to expand on it, add a few little mechanics here and there. Other than that, loved it :)

Excellent work! Feels fairly polished. I thought the character design was cute especially the disguise. I agree with what others have said, additional game-play mechanics would make it more fun/interesting over a longer playing time. I also wasn't sure what the combo thing was at first as I kept spamming the attack button, maybe a "Miss!" notification would help with that. Overall nice job for a game made in under 48 hours!

Nice game, just one very technical suggestion: rename the executable. I'm trying several LD games and half of them are named "LD44" -.-' hard to distinguish them in the download folder! ;)

If it's possible to do a web build, I highly suggest it. Many people are unwilling or unable to download Windows builds, but I would like to try this out.

As already stated, mechanics get monotone quite quickly, and installing an unnamed game is not the best option for people's convenience, but other than that great job~

It's a simple game but I'm just happy to play a game with proper audio feedback. So many submissions neglect sound even if it makes even simple gameplay feel a lot more satisfying. Music level is a bit low compared to the sound effects though. Cute art too!

@shaolin-dave @nihilaleph Indeed, Included are 2 downloads an installer and a zip file. The zip allows you to run without installing.

Yes I'm saving up for the web port at this time it cost about 150$. Eventually I'll pick it up but want to experiment and get better first.

Thanks for the feedback!
