Intro:

After a month of sleep, Count Ingsheep woke up to see light in his abandonned mansion! The old generator wasn't used in forever so how was there light in the mansion? As he looked from his balcony he saw three teenagers running away and laughing. What an evil prank! The count had to run downstairs and turn off the generator before the morning so he could go back to sleep ASAP! He had to be careful as any light could melt him in seconds!

This is a 2d platformer with an 8/16-bit graphics style. The theme is interpreted as this : The more light you have, the worse it is.

Features: - 20 levels separated on 3 floors, each floor has a unique light mechanic that you have to avoid! - A secret warp zone, that you'll probably never find - TONS of unique obstacles cleverly placed that you'll have to avoid - Can be beaten in about 5 minutes :D

EDIT: I'll add macOS support tomorrow!

I'm pretty happy with my game, even though there is a clear lack off polish and I didn't have a full 72h jam because of some stuff, but I'm really happy that I kept persevering and finished the game, I'm also really happy with the level design and the main character animation, but the other visuals and the sounds could have been improved a bit.

Thanks a lot for trying my game!

Loved it. Tight controls, fun platforming, gave me flashbacks to Flash Man's stage in MM2 :P What tracker did you use for the audio? I really like it!

I turned off the generator!
I liked it a lot, the animations are just, delicious. I had some trouble contrlling the Count but i loved the levels. I would suggest to cancel the jump after releasing the jump key. This is a good game for a Time Attack trial.

I don't want to jump the gun here... but jump wasn't working :'- ( Also, if you walk back and forth repeatedly Dracula does a fabulous dance :- D

"Hey, instead of the typical spike traps, why not a typical vampire weakness?" Brilliant.

@kerr You're right, I only tested with K and Z and I forgot to add UP and W, I'll add it in a post-ld version!

That was fun! I struggled with the tightness of the controls a bit, but loved the gameplay, good difficulty progression, how you introduced concepts, and that death animation was really cool.
Also, I was just thinking...vampires should live in caves! I think it would make waaay more sense all things considered.

Really cool game! I always like to see great platforms in Ludum Dare. Although there is one concern I have about your game, I think you did create a lot of mechanics instead of exploring in a new and creative ways those that were already inserted or even mixing them to create unique level designs, exploring a more puzzle-ish side of your game. Overall, great job! I really liked your game :)
