This is a mini management game. You have to make that the village survive, by giving other to farmers. But the gods are angry you have to sacrifice food or farmers unless disease will arrive.

game engine: Unity art engine : MagicaVoxel music made with: BeepBox

edit: fix pause + add farmer selection mark

edit 2: it's not clearly explain in the game, so I made it here :

  • to use the bakery you have to assign a farmer to it.

  • to reproduce farmers you have to assign to of them to the same house

  • When your farmers go hungry, they go find and eat by them self. If there is no food available they die.

  • when the flame got bigger it's because gods is angry so you have to sacrifice a farmer or food (farmer work better).

  • if gods are angry and any of the fields have eatable crops they kill one of your farmer with a lighting.

  • you lose the game, if all your farmers died.

edit 3: I add a new webgl build who mainly add icon to show what the farmers are doing the rest is little bug fixing

Wow, this looks great. And a lot of work went into it. I got a farmer stuck at the top building? Couldn't get hold of him again? Anyway, the rest of the game works great. Very high polish, well done!

If you can click on it, and there is no food left in the granary, he shoud go feed himself in a field

(I'll check later if it can be fix. Just in case is it possible that gods were unhappy and killed him ? just wondering)

Nice job. Can you add selection near farmer. Sometimes it hard to understand that you select somebody or not.

I absolutely love the look. The controls are a bit iffy; It's difficult to tell if i'm grabbing the farmer I want. The music sounds nice but is a little bit repetitive. A really nice showing overall.

I like the visual. The music fits nicely. I didn't understand the gameplay that well. Don't know if I was feeding the gods too little, but my farmers were trying their best XD. Most of the crops got plagued though. Good work!

Some bugs seems to be here but the global aspect of the game is very nice ! I liked the concept and the work is pretty big considering you were alone working on it ! Well done !

I really like the graphics of the game because I like that voxel style a lot. Music was really good and fits perfect.

But I have no clue on how to play the game :laughing:

- Is the house working because I can't create more farmers? I managed to get some farmers inside the house but never out again.
- Is the backery working?
- Is the game over at any point?
- Why did you opt-out from music?

The graphics are excellent and very cohesive -- it seems that the game restarts suddenly upon failure without displaying any sort of message and the sacrifice can seem too frequent at times

- You need to put 2 farmers in the same house to create a third one.
- You have to put assign one farmer to the bakery and then the farmer will catch wheat and pumpkin from the granary.
- You lose the game if all your farmers die. It's easy to play forever if you sacrifice farmer each time the flame got bigger. So yeah game jam so I cannot manage to have real challenge et several level with more challenge.

@justalocalhero I dont really have music skill, and in the rush I quick made it so yeah it's repetitive.

This is a cool entry. A lot of work in this! Music was a bit much and it can be hard to click on the farmers, but I really like the idea. Great stuff.

There was some real magic watching the wheat grow. I'll be honest, the game was not for me, but I felt it had tons of love into it. Also liked how creepy the farmers are.

I really dig the art style, very clean. I wish there was a bit more feedback when farmers are assigned to a building, and that the gods weren't so brutal about destroying all my crops right away. Give me a little time to get going first. Now the gods are angry, I have no food, and all my farmer wants to do is throw away broken pumpkins! I think I'm not very good at this game. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

But good work overall. Perfect scope for a jam game - simple to pick up but takes a little figuring out, some nice polish, and a good expression of the theme. Cheers!

The graphics look cool, and the game concept is fun (: It looks like a lot of (hard) work for a compo. I think that the music was a bit annoying in the end, but that was okay. Great game overall, congrats!

Great game with a few drawbacks! I really enjoyed seeing all my little farmers race around to follow my orders. The graphics and animations look absolutely awesome man, good job :) I did however feel like it was somewhat chaotic at times, and I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to bring food to the gods? When I picked up food, they brought it to the storage. When I click the fire, they jump in themselves, haha. But I couldn't make them drop the stuff in. Also, I assigned a worker to the bakery, but he won't go inside the building, and I can't figure out how to get the wheat to him to bake bread. I feel like that's a real missed opportunity, because I know all those features are there, there just isn't enough explanation to get them across. Maybe I'm just dumb, who knows? :P Anyway, good job on the game, you did a great job and you're really talented :)

LOOKS are STUNNING!!! The music get's a bit repetitive after a while. But not too bad where I hated it. I think you should either let the farms auto harvest the crops or let the player know that they need to make them pick it up or it will spoil. Unless you already said that. Then disregard.

I really enjoyed this entry! I like the harvest theme, watching the plants grow and be harvested is satisfying! I think the art overall worked really well. I like how alive it feels when you have all of them running around to do their tasks! Good job!

One of the best entry on this jam. The graphics is really superb. Gameplay is not so well-polished, but with time it could turn into really great game!

I like the voxel art style. The game was a bit difficult to figure out how to play. It could definitely benefit from some more feedback and sound effects for when things are happening. I also found it to be pretty slow.

That was neat! On my second attempt, everything went smoothly, ended up with a bunch of villagers with nothing to do except for make more villagers! They seemed happy.
