Coinminator 2000 by Victor Sette
You can steal, but can you run away with it?
Sneaky Roger must gather ALL THE COINS he can see!
But beware of the Police Robot Force! Oh, I guess I forgot to tell you that you are stealing every coin of the city. And running away with it... You must be careful because every coin you get makes you heavier and easier to be spotted by the police. You can hide behind dumpsters and shadows of the buildings, but if you're loaded, the guards might just see you anyway! You can run on ropes that connects the buildings too, but if you're fat with coins, you'll just fall through the ropes!
Oh and if you are feeling too heavy, just toss the loot on a dumpster and come back for it later!
ScreenShots:

Controls:
Keyboard: - Arrows: Move Roger - Z or Space: Jump - X: Toss Coin - C: Toss Coin Bag Grenade (if you have at least 10 coins)
XBox Controller: - D-Pad: Move Roger - A: Jump - X: Toss Coin - B: Toss Coin Bag Grenade (if you have at least 10 coins)
If you find any bugs, let me know :D
Bugs Fixed: - The character would fall through any platform if he'd have a heavy load of coins and just stepped on a rope, even if he would not have been actually on the rope, causing frustrating and unfair deaths. Now you can step on the rope and stay still on the platform, you'll fall through only the rope now; - The enemy would glitch when falling the pits. Now he just falls.
Issues known: - Sometimes the bag will glitch and you'll have 2 bags! But fear not, you have only one burden to carry; - If you're playing on the browser, avoid MS Edge and other browsers which don't support .OGG sound extensions, otherwise you'll play silent; - If you don't have WebGL, the shadows casted from objects will become pure black and the white text showing coins and your result will become black.

I liked tossing my coins around to be able to make the jumps, then collecting them again once I made a jump, and repeating the process. The game was pretty fun. Nice work!
I think it would be best if you required a minimum amount of coins to finish the level. Leaving money is easier to win.
The shooting was too weak. Fewer bullets should kill. I have to say that the progression somewhat makes the game more boring to play because you are getting slower. But it still has some attraction because the interaction with the enemies gets harder and its like a puzzle to decide when to throw bags across a gap. With a bit better mechanics this game could be really nice. For example, throwing bags in a curve or upwards. Dropping mines...
An overall very cool game with a nice idea and a quite polished appeal.
In this game, I had very little incentive to try to get coins and a lot of incentive not to. The game was not just harder with more coins (which is good: this game had excellent level design and enemy placement which changes how you play depending on how many coins you have), but it was also less fun. I suppose that's on-theme, though, so many points awarded for that!
After a bit I just tossed all my coins and ran to the exit, because there was no real gameplay reward for having more coins. I agree that a "minimum to complete" threshhold would be a good addition.
The game ran fantastically for me on Firefox.
@Krextor If this game hits actual production, it'll be WASD controls with mouse aim to toss your coins everywhere you want.
And Anonymous guy/gal, what a coincidence! We talked about the minimum threshold (@allanolivei pointed that out too), but we wanted to make it accessible so casual plays could see all the content (not everyone wants to put much of their time in a jam game) and the Rank system with coin score came up.
But thank you, we will consider for sure!
### Suggestions
- Allow A & D keys for moving
I just wanted to make something very clear though: the soundtrack is not original neither made in the 72h, that's why it's not available for rating. Check the credits to see where it comes from.
But thank you very much for the kind words y'all! We are feeling very proud.
The music reminds me a bit of the old Sonic games, which I really enjoyed. Good job!
Yeah, this game IS a lot like my game!
I really liked the spritework in this one as well, and i dig the design of the player character, and even if the music is not something made for the jam i thought it fits the game quite well.
i had no particular issues while testing this game so i don't know what to add more,
it was a cool entry so congrats to you guys :)
