Ransack by Stillnotsure
First ever Ludum Dare and I'm pretty happy with what came out of it! Introducing Ransack, an arcade shooter with survival-horror style inventory management.

Good Work!
There is no Mac or Linux version. It looks like you're using Unity, so you might want to just use the built-in Mac and Linux exporters. Also missing: the source code
Pros:
- The Inventory System is so cool!
- The pixel art is awesome.
- The game play is solid.
- Animations are really nice!
Cons:
- None to speak of. (Maybe make more levels and a wider variety of enemies.)
Also, is there no source code link?
Bear with me, will add the ports once Unity's installed the exporters.
I __think__ I just finished the OSX build, I've got no idea if it's working alright but if you wanted to take a look it's up on Itch now
Also for everyone who's played, thanks so much for the kind words :)
The game mechanics are pretty pretty solid, very addictive and it was fun trying to reach that b*g f****ing sword, and when I finally reached it... Holy moly. And you can put lots of lots of different weapon mechanics throrugh items. If I were you I would expand it with other RPG elements so it would be complicated.
But before you would make it more complicated (currently you shouldn't), I think you should bind (for example) the middle mouse to "drop" an item to a bag, or even you could drop an item everywhere, creating a bag on the ground.
You could also use this button for auto-placing an item into your inventory from a bag, but at first sight it would make the inventory management part of the game a bit less fun and accentual so maybe no.
Thanks for the experience!
Levels and more enemy types could make this into a real game!
Really great job! :)
One of the best entries I played so far!
I also like how the different colored ghosts have different personalities.
Giant Cleaver is OP!
