Also the game could really use more information in the UI. I would like to know the stats of my units and the expected stats of the target. This way I can make a choice on what I should attack based on what I have.
The bug should now be fixed, thanks for letting me know!
I've also uploaded help images.
The only stat used for the minions are their level.
I had plans to show the success chance, but not enough time.
There are probably some missing dependencies. Could you try to start the game from the terminal?
You could also try to run
```ldd RUN_linux```.
This will list all linked libraries and the path to them. It will also show if a library wasn't found. Which distribution to you run? I would be happy to update the linux build with the missing libraries as it also helps me with future projects!
Thanks for letting me know!
Nice game, I like the graphics style a lot and the idea and it has something in common with my game although the goal is the opposite here :)
I felt the game itself was not very alive. It was like everything was too static and that part made things less interesting. I wish there was a bit of motion even if repetitive like for example a minion howling a cart of gold through the door after each raid. Also, music would surely liven things up. Nice work :)
If you want you can watch me play it on youtube : ) I'll upload it today in part 6 of the LD 42 series.
@rik-thunder Yeah i also think that the game needs a lot more depth. The gold target (and end screen) were also last minute additions, that are set far to high. Thanks for taking the time to play and especially for making a video. It was so much fun to watch while you figure the game out!
It certainly could some more depth, but i could imagine that'd be something that came if more time was used on it. I enjoyed myself quite a lot by playing it, of course it was a bit of a long game with that large amount you needed to gather.
I really like the way you can see on the background that you've accumulated lots of treasure, gives the game a good feel.
The quirky look and sounds of the game really add to it as well.
Great job!
