If you've played our other Ludum Dare entries then you'll know what to expect, questionable gameplay, vague connection to the theme and stupid humour. We hope you like it!

PS Press SPACE to fast forward the intro if you want.

PPS There appears to be a rare sound bug that occasionally occurs that stops the music. If you encounter it please close the game and start again please :) We'll try to fix it tonight!

This one really caught me off guard. :joy:
I really did enjoy the graphics and the music is very good and I really also enjoy the humour and the setup for the entire game. Though this game kinda does kinda suffer from the whole "you input answer, and you get something completely different" problem but it feels like a nitpick in the grand scheme of things.
Overall, fun(ny) game, good job!

Absolutely phenomenal! The amount of work that went into this is seriously impressive. The ending song was hilarious. I can't wait to see what you guys make next! :)

The art and the sounds were absolutely amazing, and although the song stopped after "I'll suffocate ya" and just left him sitting bobbing his head, I was cracking up the entire time. Thanks for this

Awesome game! The sound and humor were top-notch! Graphics were great as well.

No idea who this famous rapper is supposed to be, but the last time I listened to modern music was when the BeeGees were just breaking through!

Super funny, both courses caught me off-guard, I kept going back to see all the different outcomes, although it is a slog going through the menu, the space bar speeding it up still felt somewhat slow, it wasn't really a traditional game, somewhat boring at times, but fun nonetheless! This game deserves more ratings!

@ndhr-productions Ugh that sound bug. I never encountered it before you mentioned it then got it twice in row when I just tested it. We'll look into it. Thanks for the positive feedback as well!

Hahaha this is pure awesome! There is replayability for sure, would be nice if I can just skip the intro though.

Haha. Thank you! Yep, we would have liked that too but ran out of time. We may go in and do a cheeky post jam patch for it. You can click to forward the text and press SPACE to fast forward a bit. :)

The audio sells the entire thing for me. About your concerns regarding the appropriateness to the theme, I personally say it's appropriate enough.

Wow, I love your idea on this game! Of course, art style and sounds are great. Keep it up! By the way, me and my brother played your other game on steam called "How to play with boredom ..." and this was also a really good game :D

OMG I am in LOVE! This is hilarious, and it is so polished, I really cant imagine putting that much work into a game within 3 days, this is a complete game guys. My god!! I would be killing my wife tonight if I had one haha

Goddamn, that was insane! The humor, the music, the voice over! You did great job on all fronts. The only thing i would suggest is adding a feature of saving the song that you've got at the end.

@annie-owl Thank you very much! Ah, a song export feature is a great idea! We're stealing that!

This had me cracking up several times. Excellent job! The voiceover acting and singing were superb and the level of polish was very high. The game did seem to lock up on me after the singer said he was going to kill his wife tonight... Overall, great job, I really liked this.

A touching audiovisual novel about the problems we face.
Not much of a game, but such a worthwile experience due to the fun writing, pleasant graphics and well-polished mechanics. Even the UI was top notch for a jam game!
Minor complaint: When you put in your rhymes, the last few lines get overlapped by the UI and you might loose context.
Keep rappin'!

@jharler thanks! Yes, its some kind of bug when loading the audio. I am essentially moving to the next audio file when playtime > clip.duration -offset. But somehow its either failing to load the clip of failing to "finish" the last one (maybe its skippin frames in some case and the audiosource is no longer playing so playtime is not > duration... yes that might be it...). in any case it will get stuck for ever in that state.
Sorry for the thought dump haha

I had so much fun with this. It was short and not exactly a game - more of an interactive experience - but the text generation and premise were super interesting. Good work! Here's a video of my play: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/297353742

That chorus was gold. Wasn't familiar with your previous entries, so I had no idea what I was getting into but this was an enjoyable visual novel style experience. Encountered a minor bug(?) where the game froze on me at the "please mother nature" part of the lyrics.

OMG Excellent, I was wondering how you would solve some of those rhymes and it was just excellent

The game is hilarious and the overall style (graphics, audio) fits it very well.

On top of it, I really like the take on the theme you did here. It's a game about a serious issue and how unseriously it is being treated, one might say it's a potilical game!

But how did you... ummm.. solve the issue of copywrited songs?

unfortunetely at one time the game stopped at "His grandma Iris" but I replayed again and fortunately it was ok.

Anayway, congrat's!

That was so good! Loved the assets and the humor!
Just one bug when I tried to rewriting the song and it stopped at "killing my wife" and the head bobbed forever. (I guess like drauthius's bug)

@axoona Thank you for the very nice review! We're really pleased you enjoyed it :)

As for the copyright issue. We made the songs ourselves as a parody of the originals, which I believe comes under 'fair use' and we figured we'd just make them so stupid that even if the original artist took part in Ludum Dare and rated our game they wouldn't sue us haha.

Sorry you got that pesky bug. I keep asking @rodobodolfo to fix it but he's being stubborn! I'm glad you went through the game again though! Thanks for the review!

@poffle well I don't know, they might become jealous. Your version of "tonight I'm killing my wife" is now forever stuck in my head
