The voxel graphics are really nice, super tough on the harder difficulties. I really like the feel of it and wow, does it get overwhelming fast once it gets through the first area!

It would have been nice if there was some kind of music or sound effects, but I didn't run into any bugs and it was very polished so I'll forgive that.

I played on "normal" but it was still quite challenging.
Minor nitpick: sometimes waiting for money to build new stuff felt a bit long for my taste.
Apart from that, solid entry!

Did you buy those from the asset store? You can't do that for the compo.

Really cool game! I like the change from pathing enemies, which are so typical for tower defense games. Good use of the theme limiting your space to build defenses the more overwhelmed you get. My only gripe is that gold generation can't keep up half-way into the wave since by that point you're being swarmed so much the first two pylon build spots are unavailable. Nice graphical style and it's just overall fun to play, great job!

I liked the game, reminded me of a similar 2D game but I can't remember the name. The 3D artstyle is really neat even if the game does lacks musics and sound effects to keep you invested in it. I think it would have been nice to see the range of each turret as I placed some mortar but they were too far and I had to wait for the tentacles to destroy others to understand that. Solid gameplay and nice game overall.

Really fun! Great take on the tower-defense genre, it really forces you to be strategic to even stand a chance. Only thing is it is quite challenging. Making one or two mistakes almost certainly means game over, even on "easy." (though I'm not especially skilled in these sorts of games, so take that with a grain of salt).

Others have said it, but the voxel art style is truly fantastic especially with the overall concept. It all works together very nicely, and I'd be delighted if you make a bigger version of this with more levels and perhaps some audio. Outstanding job!

The voxel graphics are great!
But boy, the game is quite tough. I needed two attempts to finish "easy". And got totally overrun in the next difficulty. IMHO it takes a bit too long to gather enough resources in the beginning.
And the mortar must be really close to targets, I tried putting it in the back row and it didn't do anything :)

Other than that, really well done!

Really great work overall, no bugs or problems. Sounds etc would've been nice, but hey, a compo game is a compo game!

Nice take on the TD genre. Pretty tough and there is good room for potential on towers that affect the creep in interesting ways. I would also avoid making the starcraft protoss similarities to strong to give it its own identity. Good job!

Good game, i like tower defenses a lot. But i tried several times without sucess to finish the game. Other than that, good job, i really liked the graphics! :heart:

I have the funny impression that the game increases in difficulty depending on what I do and that it is impossible to finish some stage

I beat the Easy level but not sure the other levels are possible. The graphics are really nice, and the gameplay is pretty fun; I just wish there was some variety in tactics, and some sound. This is definitely a game worth continuing with!

Seems more like grape-jelly-blob than tentacles though, no?

@deathray Normal also possible, the later ones was made without testing, because I run out time. I originaly planed to add small animated tentacle to side of the columns. Now looks like some kind of goo, but I want to keep the name, it's sounds much cooler.
