A Fleet to Flee the Sun by Mister Walter
The sun is going to explode in a matter of weeks, and you have taken it upon yourself to build a fleet and get off-planet before that happens, bringing as many people as you can with you.
Gather Energy, Mass, and Volunteers to crew your ships, and be sure to evacuate before the sun explodes.

--POSTMORTEM READ AFTER PLAYING--
Okay I'm just going to level with you: This is the first half of what I thought I could accomplish, and the second half is what made the theme work. This was my first Unity project more sophisticated than a tutorial or basic experiment, and so everything took much longer than I thought. I've always used the excellent Gamemaker in past jams, and frankly just going through and doing tutorials hid from just how much Unity I have left to learn.
In any case, there was supposed to be a second half of this project, in which you lead your fleet through a super simplified Oregon Trail-like series of encounters that whittled them down, and had you Running Out of Power. What we are left with the building section of the game, which I think could not be less on theme if I had planned it. So don't even worry about the 1s on theme.
Nevertheless, I think the unknown time limit adds a lot to idle games, and I think that's worth sharing, at least among game designers.
As for my honor, I'll just have to restore that with my LD40 entry.
