Welcome to Wrath of the Gods - a game set in the glorious world of....Appeasement Island. Where Gods are appeased. Or they should be!

Humanity has existed on the Island for many years without issue....until now. The locals have desecrated the Altar to the Gods and they are furious. You must find a way to appease the gods or face certain death and destruction.

Sacrifice at the Altars to receive temporary powers to aid your journey, and dont let the Aztecs catch you!

So that is your task. Gain followed, sacrifice to the Gods, gain their forgiveness and restore peace once more on Appeasement Island. Remember, if things get crazy......you can always just give up.

I found the world interesting, I was compelled to explore but ran into some performance problems in the web version. I like the idea of receiving powers as you sacrifice people as a way of progressing. I think if you had focused your ideas a little and made your world more dense you would have something really fun.

I played the game for about twenty minutes, and still had no clue how to win the game or even much grasp of the mechanics beyond getting people to follow me around.

That being said! I absolutely love everything about the style, from the font, to the tiling textures, to the jagged lines of mountains. It reminds me of early 2000s hobbyist 3D games, before there were any real engines to work with. I had a ton of fun running around exploring, spamming the F key, just laughing at the sheer absurdity of the line of followers running through the wilderness.

@owl-and-jackalope Thanks for your comments - you are absolutely right on the performance issues on the web version, it is the reason i put a warning on the game listing - to be be perfectly honest, we VERY nearly didn't even post the web version because of the performance issues, and i am still considering removing it. thanks for your kind words and for taking the time to check out our entry!

@chaosed0 Thanks so much for playing and your comments, much appreciated. If we had more time, for sure there would have been a lot more cues and clues about where to head. Glad you enjoyed playing though!
