Controls:

Move: A-D

Jump: Space / W

Pick Up Box: E

Drop Box : E

Rotate Box : R

Mechanics:

You have to combine boxes in order to create bigger ones.

You can’t pick up the biggest box but you can push it slowly, unless something it’s blocking the path behind it.

If you get 3 big boxes in a row, or column, they will disappear and reward you with extra points.

There’s a total of 10 levels, each level being a bit more difficult than the last one.

Once you hit level 3, the medium boxes will start spawning as well.

You gain levels by gaining score.

You gain score by combining boxes.

If there are at least 5 boxes in the landing zone, a timer will appear. You have 10 seconds to move boxes from there or you will lose.

Story:

During the war against the human race you have been wounded and lost both of your legs. Times were tough and we didn’t have enough resources to rebuild your legs. You were supposed to be turned into scrap so that we could build bigger and better robots. But because of your bravery you have been awarded with the “L33T Medal” and your circuits have been spared.

We couldn’t let you do nothing all day, all robots must work. So we found the best job for you, and ever since then you have been named PostoBot.

You now must scan and arrange boxes. You have been equipped with sensors so that when you are in the proximity of a box you will automatically scan all the contents.

The contents are scanned before they reach to you, but it’s better to be safe than sorry. The Human Resistance keeps coming up with ways to hide items and even humans inside of these boxes.

Our brothers need the contents of those boxes on the line of war.

Make sure to move the boxes out of the landing zone quickly otherwise we will have to stop the process because of you. Which means that you are inefficient, we all know what happens to inefficient robots.

Very fun game~
High replayability, too. I only wish that the music had more variety. Got as high as 380 points on Level 3. It fits the theme perfectly!

I loved the game! It reminded me of tetris at first, but it didn't play like that at all. It's a bit glitchy when there are a lot of boxes, but really nice polish overall. All hail the mighty toaster!

@lexyvil Thank you. I got so used to playing the game while testing it that it feels really easy for me, haha. As for the music, the Andrew (music guy) didn't have much free time and we weren't even sure he will be able to do the bit we have.

@proafkboy When I saw the theme, Tetris was the first thing that came into my mind. Tetris is the perfect example of "Running out of space". This was our first idea and probably the best for this theme. As for the glitches, we noticed the problem with getting stuck between the boxes we just ran out of energy and didn't feel like rewriting chunks of code and possibly causing more problems.

@pierre-avinain Thank you! :smile:

It was fun! I didn't get past Level 5 - it got pretty hard when there were lots of boxes and I often got stuck where I couldn't move because of being squished between boxes coming off the conveyor and the boxes in the warehouse. The graphics and sounds were really nice; I especially liked the robot's animation; he felt very lifelike and full of character. One bug I noticed was that when I clicked Guide and then Back, the Guide button lost its text, but that didn't affect the gameplay at all. Great job on a fun game!

@fractalsunrise I guess I made the game to hard, sorry for that one. We know about the conveyor belt and boxes bug but it would have taken a lot of energy to fix since we had to rewrite a lot of the code (= more problems).
As for the guide bug, what OS do you have? We didn't have that problem.

Nice game, I like the music a lot! I kept getting stuck between the conveyor belt and my boxes though.

Nice game play, art, and music, but the boxes are really hard to move and I got stuck between some boxes at one point because it couldn't let me jump.

A good game idea, the music should be improved. The graphics are good.
Try our game too, maybe you'll like it)

Very fun, but maybe the music could have been a little calmer :D

The graphics are a bit lacking especially animation wise but the gameplay is very fun! It's kinda like tetris mixed with a platformer.
You could expand it later with a more interesting level design and maybe having an expanded moveset.

Nice, gameplay is original, and the overall product is quite polished. It wasn't too difficult at the beginning, until all of the boxes started to pile up and I got stuck between two boxes. It's a bit of an emergent lose condition, which is funny.

I had fun combining boxes! Difficulty ramp might have been a little slow, but it sure overwhelmed me in the end! Thanks for sharing the game with my stream. Your game starts at around 3:55 into the vod https://www.twitch.tv/videos/297479036
